Yeah, I feel like my Comi's are plenty fat for anything. They float with very little speed or effort.
Saw some guy at Silverton and then Vail a couple days later on those Duret Monstre beasts. Watching him skate from the lift was pretty funny looking.

I saw these things here at the boat on sunday. We have a guy that skis here that works for liberty so i bet it was him. They looked ridiculous, especially as he skied away down the cat track looking like he liked to ride large woman and had maybe over done it in the last couple of days...Quote:

I agree on the comments that skis do not need to be above a 140mm in the waist. Yes it comes down to personal prefrence but anything over 140 would suck on traverses and on the lower half of the moutain with groomers and cat tracks. But if you had some cat skiing or heli skiing then it might not be to bad.
I am sure they are just a prototype that they are testing. I highly doubt they will ever be available to the public. According to Liberty's website, it doesn't seem like it is something they are pushing, just a news bit showing that they are trying something new to see if it may work. Does seem ridiculous though.
