I'm so ready for this winter. Last winter sucked being sick and all. This season is going to be epic. I can feel it in my bones that it will be epic for everyone. BEER, BACON, & POWDER FOR EVERYONE:DQuote:

Back to work..
summer's nice and all, but i've been ready now for a while.
with the shorter days i'm realizing that i need to get right out on the bike if i wanna be out while there's decent daylight, but i've been having dreams about skiing, driving through blizzards, deep pow - even looking at a mobile ' ski house' - etc, so i know where my head and heart are.
if the season were to start the same day as last year, it'll be just over 2 months away...here's hoping for a strong and early start!
as much as i'd be psyched to ski pow tomorrow...i'm still enjoying the summer and looking forward to the fall. as much as i love skiing, our summers here are short. i kind of feel like the there's stuff i can do to make the most of every season -- and the absence of skiing in the summer (or, say, rock climbing in the winter) only makes me appreciate more when the weather turns. i feel like i get my fill of every sport during the season...when april/may rolls around, i've usually had a ton of days on snow and am ready for a change.
yeah... i know it's blasphemy, but everything else feels too one-dimensional for me.
Not really ready for winter. My first time living in the flatlands, and when the weather isn't good hear all I can do is drink. Now that I think about it, when the weather is good all I can do is drink. Hmm, maybe I am ready for winter, but I'd prefer if there were a few more weeks of sunny weather here, it is going to be a long, wet autumn at this rate.
Oh yeah, I remember I got to do one thing before the winter sets in and that is hike Hellbrook at Mansfield. It's a yearly tradition my brother and I do and we try to get faster every year. Although I got an extra 10 lbs of baby fat I'm carrying around I need to cope with...which is another thing I need to get rid of before ski season starts...
If you can get past the vehicle exhaust, forest fire smoke and other ailments, you can smell winter.
