I picked this up last week, mainly becuase I have not seen enough Seth this season. I was surprised at how good this was. I was expecting a ton of jibberish with some lame-ass krunked up soundtrack. I was wrong, wrong , wrong. While there was some rails, it was just enough to keep it interesting without making we ask "When are we getting to the real skiing?". Music- interesting. A lot of electronica- not dance-club techno, but, well, I don't know enough about the genre to comment further. Great powder segment to the Massive Attack song that's the "House" Theme song (also featured in an early MSP film). Definitely felt like a stump movie. The narration was no more cliched than Blizzard or Groove Requiem. The skiing itself happenned in more realistic terrain, as opposed to the Superman lines and airs we've been seeing. A lot of cool pillows and medium sized cliff hucks, not to mention possibly the best powder segment of the year.
I also have a hell of a lot more respect for Tanner as a skier after this. Nice to see him actually skiing as opposed to jibbing and jumping.
