Not trying to be a downer, just throwing out my opinions.
I've had a few good thoughts on how to do this. I'll keep most of the details to myself until we decide this is a go; but right now I'm thinking I'd post a general thread about the auctions, ask Owens to make it sticky and post links to the actual autctions inside that thread. Then in gear swap, I'm thinking I'll make a distinct generic title like AUCTION #1. Start the bidding and stop it when I think the price is high enough and bidding seems to settle a bit.. That way there will be no sniping and people will simply bid what they can afford or want to pay.
