I plan to get a pair of DPs as soon as I can afford them. Mount with Fritshis and go everywhere.

sorry shera. i don't know why you'd want such a heavy ski. that said, i skied them in the bc for almost a year. they are a good ski but not worth the "what if factor". stockli the worst company to try a warranty. they do have a no fault warranty which allows you to turn in your old skis and pay $375 for new ones (plus shipping). they also have a replacement policy that says they'll give you a used replacement for your broken one. nick had me on the list for a while but when he left, so did the list. the new person i've talked to by phone always asks me to send an email, then never responds. that's gone on 4 times since november. not great customer service imo.

This years DP's are considerably lighter than last years, although they are a totally different ski. I still prefer last years.
If by Nick you mean Nicholas Sprung of Stockli USA, he has not left. He is still in Denver and still runs Stockli. I will agree with you that warranty from Stockli has many issues that need to be resolved, though I do feel that they are worth the "what if factor". For now anyway.

to speak to APD's sidewall issues,
i am a big dude ( 225lbs) and am on my 3rd season on my SS pros as my main resort set up.
I dont ski "light" and have taken some shots underfoot near the edge on both skis that my main tech guy ( Sam, a lot of you BCCers know him) has always remarked he could not believe Ididna tear out the edge or compress the sidewall in some of the big hits I took.
fwiw I have destroyed 3 pairs of atomics and a pair of Evoloutions in the last 5 years.
I am with Msr Highman on the timexness of the stocklis.

I'm with APD on this one. I had some DP's (the orange ones), and also blew the sidewalls on both skis. Noone i spoke to when i was looking for new ski's seemed suprised. They were all of the opinion that that's a major problem with Stockli skis.

They were incredible ski's but i don't think i'd buy Stockli again.

Heavy ski? I'm hauling around 180 Explosivs with alpine boots and demo bindings and breaking trail most of the time, so that's all good. Haven't been out with Dave lately though. :D

I like the way heavy skis, um, er, ski. Yeah!
