Word. I pretty much go out of my way to make sure transactions go smovely for this reason. It's part of the reason good deals can be had becasue the hassle factor is so low.Quote:

as the mag who bought huckwheat's gotamas, and sold numerous other items on internet forums- this guy needs to be outed and publicly and privately humiliated. this is not right. i can understand this happening on some other boards, but i have always thought this board has been cool in the fact that it is completely self policed. as such, this guy should have some marshal law enforced on his ass. i've seen a couple of bad transactions go down on some skateboarding forums, but those are dealing with $300 transactions at most. what are we talking about here, $500 for a decent transaction of skis?
out the muthafucker! :fuckyou:
I say give the guy a chance to out himself/PM. If nothing's happened by tomorrow, it's his fault.

I agree that the ease-of-transaction factor is one of the best selling points of Gear Swap. Given the nature of the boards, it's almost like having references already, because if I don't personally know you I probably know someone who does and vice versa.
I was all for patience but 5 weeks seems pretty ridiculous. I'd say out him and if there's a valid, or semi-valid excuse he can defend himself then.
despite not having a ton of posts more than a few people have shown faith in me in gear swap... and viva was cool enough to take a personal check from me and give me the goods when i bought a setup from him
out the guy
5 weeks is more than enough time to smoove things over...
out the maggot and let him take some cheap shots from everyone else. he'll lick his wounds, beg for forgiveness, and all will be good in maggotdom...
Shit, this just reminded me that I owe money and product. Iceman and Playharder, check your PMs.
Is there even a miniscule remnant of a shadow of a hint of a chance that he didn't get any PM or email? If the PMs didn't bounce on a fullbox, then it sure seems like negligence, since you'll see that monologue box with the sender when you get a PM.
I know I can charm the angry vengeful mob out there brandishing their torches and chanting for death, but is there a better way? I mean, I withheld payment from the Rev for his twin tipped helmet until I could land perverted fakie, so it's understandable. Sometimes.
So, will Dick get down with Jane? I can't stand the suspense.
Unless I am contacted today by said maggot, public outing will occur tomorrow 9:30 am MST. Bring your internet rotten apples, tomatoes, buckets of shit, rubber chickens, soiled skivvies--and anything else worthy of slinging. Thank you.
Bump this randomly during the day. Maybe that will get their attention.
So I wonder what it's like at Baker today, huh?
btw- for whatever reason lately I don't get email notices anymore, my "unread" PM counter is totally unreliable and I don't get popup new PM notices (all my settings are checked out for these services), and a couple have gone a couple days unanswered lately... just fyi I haven't bought anything in a while so it isn't me! Plus, I only have like 300posts.

Not true. You got me in a panic and I just went and deleted about 30 receipts. No difference to the message count at all. Still no use having them laying about especially since I pay no attention to them at all.Quote:
