I don't think this is anything new. There have been dumb, punk-ass teenagers in every generation.

I mentioned that to him at the Seattle snow expo today...he was sitting at the Steamboat booth.Quote:

Well, chaos is a little severe, but I'm just comparing the behavior of very well off creators of a lot of capitalist schemes to, not the lower classes, but to what they pretend there proper behavior in their fantasy world should be. Which, trust me, is not the way they act. No. It's like everything else in their world, me fucking first, and fuck you if you don't like my at least fighting for it.
So, the point is, dese are dose kid's parents. I'm pretty sure.
Definitely. I got chewed out by some gay ass troller today for being a, "punk ass teenager with an attitude." I guess he was never a teenager.Quote:

It’s up to the parents to step in and say hey, I am no longer going to teach hatred to my children, and I will stop teaching them between seeds and seedless. Teach them that they should boycott skiing altogether and lay down their sticks and poles and never, never ski again. And then there will be no punk-ass skiers in line, none at all.

It's kind of true, the world getting less intelligent. More knowledge to be had, fewer people with the desire or the ability to gain it. Also the more educated people having fewer children, the less educated having many children to be raised less educated. Sad cycle.
Edit: And I'm with NoHills....don't blamed the women. What about all the male role models that set bad examples? You can't answer the issue with a blanket judgement.
I think I was on that list.Quote:

I think most of us are on "that list" (lots of lists today). It is a certain breed to feel the need to perform true gravity research... some have money and lawyers and that's how some of us (myself included, to an extent) were able to place our feet on a good path that isn't so easy to find. I'm talking personally about a life revolving around snow. I made a lot of trouble growing up and was in court for multiple felonies by the age of fifteen. I got thrown out of CRMS near aspen later that year and my whole family left me for hopeless. I'm not so sure I was bragging, per sae, throughout the traumatic youth but i am sure that a lot of us heard a bit of ourselves in the conversation between the youngsters you spoke of, and you perhaps were mentioning the healing process for these two guys rather than the dilenquification. I mean, at least they were skiing! What's happening to our sport? nothing much, it's just still saving souls left and right.
Our sport is really going downhill.
come on, you knew it was coming
