I can't hear that song and not be instantly transferred back to a 4th of July houseboat trip on Lake Cumberland with a bunch of buddies in college. There's a cove with a very tall waterfall at the end where all the houseboats nose into the shoreline one after another and set up camp for the weekend like a floating arena for debauchery. At some point around dawn of the 4th, a boat that had some very large box speakers on their rooftop deck fired that song up to 11. It got people up (as did the handful of fireworks) just in time to see a group of topless coeds standing on top of the falls get ready to jump to raucous cheers of USA, USA, USA!
God bless America.
Cranked as soon as the fireworks end.
As for Thanksgiving some Johnny Cash and Mary Chaplin Carpenter.
Christmas songs include John Prines Christmas in Prison, Tom Waits Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis, Hayes Carl Grateful for Christmas, and the Xmas albums by both Hiss Golden Messenger and Shinyribs.
This entire album is a holiday classic
