Does this have anything to do with a certain unnamed maggot's mass consumption of cigarettes just before the ride?Quote:

I work on Wednesday. I'd be up for a ride on Monday or Tuesday if anyone's interested.
Where you thinking of riding on Monday or Tuesday? i'd have to do AM on Monday or anytime on Tuesday. I'm in the East Bay btw.Quote:

-All this riding in Moab and Downieville has improved my skills. I'm going to start calling Manzanita "Cupcake" :D
-The new Crossover is quite nice. It needs more whoop-de-doos, and I miss the terror of sliding down big water ruts on the old log skid, but it's still a fun adventure.
-Gordon Mill is about the easiest fireroad climb out you can ask for. Consistent middle-ring slog on a well-surfaced gravel road.
-I figured I'd try Steam Donkey for a change but missed the entrance and hit Blue Blossom again. That trail is so beautiful: tiny, narrow, rollercoaster downhill singletrack that gets tighter and tighter until you're deep in the trees and branches are hitting your helmet and your handlebars are in serious danger of snagging tree trunks as you snake around endless tiny hairpins and whoo! I cleaned it this time, including the climb and the log hop.
-I tried going out on the Lawrence Creek fireroad instead of Gordon Mill. No one comes that way -- there's not even a singletrack line through the fallen leaves -- but there are several brutal short climbs, one of which I had to walk. Gordon Mill is easier.
I can usually do Wednesday or Thursday. Mon-Tues are much less likely.
Sorry to take so long to reply. Work is kicking my ass this weekend. I can't do East Bay on Monday. I could do Skeggs any time on Monday or Tuesday. I'd prefer to ride during the day. I just don't have the time to go over the Bay this week. I'll forward this to my East Bay buddy. He's always looking for riders.
So...is anyone riding tomorrow(Monday)? i may play hookie and have some extra time on my hands. I'd prefer East Bay(i'm near Briones).

I can't make it this week or next week -- I will be riding the chairlift at Mammoth instead of the Gordon Mill Fire road
