What? Why? You might buy a car your mechanic enjoys working on. Maybe. But a binding? Why would you give a fuck?
If your mechanic told you to stay away from a certain model car, you wouldn't listen to him?
If I drove a vehicle for 300+ days with zero issues and a 'mechanic' suggested I get something better and more reliable I'd get a new mechanic.
We can't possibly save the planet by throwing away binding parts that only require a couple hours work to get them functional again.. for a few more ski days amirite???

...maybe? If he’s just bitching because you have to remove the exhaust manifold to change the spark plugs, I’m not going to sweat it much. That’s more or less what we’re talking about here, except on a comically different scale. Mounting my own bindings, it’s never been something I’ve thought about twice. I’m not doing release tests, though, and I don’t have 50 pairs behind mine that I need to mount, too.
