+1000 IMO
Until Google releases their augmented-reality radar, terrain mapping goggles [Goggles by Google (tm)] I'll keep using a nearly clear green lens [80-90%VLT] and a dark 20% VLT. But I spend most of the time in the green. Until it's really quite bright [mostly sunny] I stay in the very high VLT lens. While I'm a quite a ways short of 60, my eyes have really taken a beating the last year or two.
Finally, as for cheap goggles - try Outdoor Master Pro on Amazon. (They appear to be Anon knock-offs.) I've been using them the last couple of years. Magnetic lenses I really quite like. Pricing is less attractive now, but when I went that route, I got two complete frames and lenses [light and dark] for ~ $50. IMO, there's no "magic" around any lens formula or color - so no need to chase unicorns and pay big bucks for a brand, if the fit and quality is reasonable.
