"Ricer" car question

I drive a '92 Legacy wagon. Purple, for the record, and I'm proud of it.

Last summer, I was doing some off-roading, and ripped my muffler off. I decided that was a perfect opportunity to "modify" my car. I built a ridiculously huge wing out of OSB, and then spray painted it the same color as my car. I built it so that it will clip onto the factory roof rack, and can install/remove it in about 5 minutes.

Obviously, I only put it on when I am trying to attract laughs.

I recently gave up on keeping my car looking good, after hitting my second deer, and a horse. Don't ask.

Anyway, I think it's time for racing stripes this summer. I'm thinking Arctic Cat green. Any other suggestions?

That sounds good. How about paint your name under the driver's side window? To be cool you need to nclude your nickname in quotes.

It should go on the rear window, just first initial and last name with country of origin flag, like they do in the WRC. Of course the flag should be some random country like Namibia or something. Extra points if you put your co-drivers name on the window as well.

It is a Subaru, embrace the rally heritage!

2 inch body lift, 1.5" spring lift.

Some Mickey Thompson Baja Radials, and a roll cage, and I just might be able to get into the amateur division of SCCA rally.

Calvin pissing on a Subie logo and 4 lambo doors would be awesome, if you're going for the ricer look. If you're going for the rally look, KC rally lights. The more, the better. Two full racks just isn't enough. And don't forget the fishnet drivers side window.

actually them doors dont look bad on some cars.

on some cars it is easier to get into, others not so much.

on that piece of shit CRX they are harder to get into

I LOL everytime I see some wanna-be's '94 Barreta parked at another NAPA store with poorly tinted windows, chome painted wiper blades, hub-cap "spinners", and an F1 style rear wing. God only knows how much extra rear downforce you need on a FWD car at 40mph.

NAPA costomer: "I need plugs and wires for a '95 Impreza...do you have any wires that come in red or orange?"

-edit- and for the record, a 5.7 Camaro/Firebird is easily and cheaply modified to turn exquisite sushi with shrimp fried rice back into General Tzao's chicken.

I know, I hate those stupid Chevrolet Berretta's. Of course, you could just chip a 1.8T Audi, or buy a STi WRX, and not only crush, kill, destroy most American muscle, but get decent gas mileage and then throw your skis on the roof and go to the mountain with your AWD.

American muscle was great back in the Cold War days when it was Good vs. Bad, and everything was in a straightline and clear cut. Nowadays, it's all about the sleeper family grocery getter with a big 'ol turbo than can do it all, and better.

Hey, how many jobs did GM just eliminate by the way?

That thing is a "Beretta" like a NASCAR is a "stock car". You can take a tube chassis, throw a Gremlin body on it, and people would still be stupid enough to think it's really that kind of car.

This is true... I don't think most people realize that it is fiberglass and was never a Beretta. It has Beretta head/tail lights and dash cover though.

Still, it'd look sweet with a huge adjustable wing on the back.

Is it carpet? Those are sick. Especially when they have the name of the car stitched into them.

I don't know why nobody has thought of spoilers on top of the mirrors yet. Future school.

1 and 2, WILCO. I'm also thinking of drafting my own Bondo hood scoop. Maybe even my own RAM air intake, crafted out of dryer vent tubing and a K&M filter, and duct tape. Just so it's more functional than those $500 glue-on hood scoops you see on trucks.

DJSapp, I realize you were being facetious. As was I. We're even.

I'm definitely going to have enough off-road lights to turn a winter in Alaska into fackin Jamaica. KC is too expensive, though. I'll work something out. And yes, at least 4 on the bumper. However, SCCA doesn't allow lights on the roof. Maybe bondo on a couple of STI side mirrors with the halogen lights built into them?

Fuck...too expensive.

Only if you mount lights on the front of them. I've seen small enough ones at Schucks... Way more core than real STi lights. You could even put fake HID bulbs into them to increase your horsepower and light output.
