Sappiness alert. Seeing your kid play a new sport and get discouraged for not being as good as the others, spending the evenings playing soccer in your yard after work. When they score their first goal in a game and the first thing they do is scan for you on the sidelines with effervescent pride for their accomplishment. It could be a scent (lilac for me), or a scene from a movie (The Pope Of Greenwich Village), or a song (So many to choose from). For me, it's sitting in Taylor Park with a Millburn Deli Roast Beef Joe with a pint of tea in hand.
