Honestly no idea but it didn't feel really cold. It went from torrential downpour to intense hail and finally just enough of the white stuff to stick to things around Shandaken I think it was?? On 28 though so the bellayre/hunter area.Quote:

No Matter What was great last night - feels good to be in that crowd of fellow pow hounds, getting amped for ski season.

I predict that we will have a very nice upcoming ski season, although early and mid November will be lame as always.
Fortunately that will allow you plenty of time then for avalanche safety training and/or continuing education. (How's that for a thinly veiled segue? Hey, figured I should post something about it in the new thread for this season...)
