I haven't been in here in a while, either. I should be good to go, but man, thats a long ways away (trying to deny the fact that spring is closer than I think).

good call on the bump -

wasn't there talk of reserving a ton of a camping spots somewhere for a big group?? I'm thinking that it would be a good idea to get on that if we want the first weekend.

but, i dunno anything about where to stay other than the luxury spa, so i'm useless in terms of planning that.

nasty rumor?? No i'll be there, it will be right after I get back from AK. Don't know what dates people are going to be there, but I'll probably be out Friday the 7th till sunday the 9th of May.

bummer - I'm out on this one. Way too much work between 4/18 to 5/18. I'll be lucky if I ride locally during that time.

But round 2 perhaps? a fall trip? yeehaw. I'll be in for that.

EDIT: I just look at my calendar, and that 5/4 weekend is actually the one clear time I have during the month, so maybe, just maybe.....

Regarding Camping:

There are group spots here and there, I'm not real sure exactly where besides Slickrock, and I don't know how to go about reserving them and unfortunately am a bit swamped with work.

As is I'm hitting the road on Tuesday the 3rd with a stopover in Vegas then on to Moab on Weds. I'll be camping at Slickrock (because really, you absolutely cannot beat seeing the sun set and rise from up there, I friggin love it) from Weds to Sunday and making the trek home Sunday morning.

So, basically, if people want to do the Slickrock camping thing, getting there Weds will probably allow me to lay claim to a bunch of spots. Just let me know.

I know the Canyonlands Campground in downtown Moab has group camping sites, RV hook-ups (for any going that route), is in a convenient location (makes for a better ride to the trails ;)), and most importantly has good rates. They should be able to accomodate us assuming they're not booked up for that weekend.

Sorry man, my idea of camping doesn't involve throwing a tent up on a patch of sod next to a cement slab while I suck down the fumes from my neighbor's generator.
