First Tracks: Little Chute, ALTA

are you Utards REALLY as nuts as that T-Tips post seems to indicate? Jesus H Christ man if we got 3/4 of the snow you guys do out here on the east coast I'd fucking think I'd died and gone to heaven. Intentionally obscuring TRs so nobody knows where you're going? If you're really that psycho about "YOUR" secret stash/lines then DON'T post a TR. Last time I checked "public" lands were created to allow access to EVERYBODY. Snow tends to be a renewable resource so I really don't think its worth it to get that territorial but then what do I know :fm:

If you want to be selfish and hog that "secret stash" all to yourself, go ahead. While I concur this thread was initiated in a "look at me" chest thumping manner, I see no reason not to share one's exploits w/ others. Especially when good ski-porn fuels the stoke. One should always share the location whenever the following apply:

1) Heli territory

2) The location is already well known and therefore tracked out on a regular basis anyway (Did anyone not know where Lil' Chute is?)

3) Disclosing the location either through pix or through descriptive narrative adds substantially to the story line.

The same selfish attitude showed up here which resulted in this comical TR.

No problem w/ keeping the claims to the minimum (who the heck cares if superfly mutha scored 1st tracks this yr. in Lil' Chute), and yes you are correct; the claim is obnoxious. Just don't care for cryptic TRs and I do appreciate knowing what conditions are like in specific locales.

The intitial post definitely was obnoxious, I just took the capitalized SILENT as extending to TRs in general. My apologies for the mis-interpretation, I concur the in-your face attitude about 1st tracks is rather immature and uncalled for.

i enjoy this thread. way to git some and spray all over everyone else, then make everyone pissed cause you killed it and bring the jackson air force out of the woodwork cause they're jealous.

Um. The original claim of being an "uncontestable thread" might have been better stated as something like an "uncontestable feat," as much of this thread appears to be contested.
Without pictures, how do we know that it was even Little Chute? Perhaps it was Main. What if S.E. doesn't even know where the entrance to Little Chute really is. Also, I take issue with the dropping of the name "Barker." How do we know that Barker is actually a pal? Might it not be possible that Barker is simply an acquaintance, as opposed to a close friend--as the label "pal" might infer?
I believe a closer examination of all of the facts is warranted before bestowing the honor of "grabber-of-season's-first-turns-in-Little-Chute." Such an honor cannot, and must not, be conferred in so cavalier a manner...

How do you even know you got first tracks on it? It was snowing every day last week. We think we got first Main tracks, but I can't really brag about it, cause who the hell knows. Someone could have been up there the day previous, there's no way to be sure. And you have no pictures. Which is fine, but if it's so important to you to brag about your "exploit" all arrogant like, you could at least give us a visual or two. :rolleyes2
