Here is an idea: carry flattened 2 liter bottles filled with dry ice. When you get to the slope you want to trigger be sure to tell your friends to "watch this". Piss in the bottle. While you are barring the bottle it will blow up cover your face in piss. Good luck! It should be awesome. If not repeat...

Those are called DuPont Spinners, very effective.

For the dry ice, I have seen a few missing fingers from that, do NOT let the water mix with the dry ice until cap is on then throw and run, fold pop bottle in half with ice on top, and add water, then put cap on, unfold and throw and run.......Good Luck.......:FIREdevil

Just make a sparkler bomb.

You don't need any "special liscense" for a sparkler bomb. They blow huge too.

What about just using black powder or gun powder instead of crushed flares? Easy enough to come by and less work.

How about this. It requires no licensing and the shells are legal to own. Just pump a few "bird bomb" shells onto the slope and watch the carnage. Bird bombs are shells for scaring birds of of runways and have a pretty big concussion. I might get one for the fun of it!http://www.angelfire.com/nv/m79/

I did more research. The BATF now considers the bird bomb ammo a destructive device comparable to a hand grenade. Not cool to be caught with.

these are unfunny... When I was about 12 a couple buds and I decided that ground up sparklers inside an empty CO2 cartridge (with cap pried off) with duct tape fins would make a serviceable "rocket"... As a rocket it was an epic fail. But as a handgrenade it worked quite well. No serious injuries but... from 20 odd yards away one the pieces of shrapnel when through one guys shirt collar (narrowly missing his neck) and grazed the others face very near his eye. The wooden well pump housing we had chosen as our "launch pad" had to be rebuilt.

Needless to say, our parents were unamused.

My uncle ralph in Rowayton, Ct. took empty Co2's, filled them with match heads and gunpowder and a firecracker fuse. He then laid out a 6' piece of fence pipe with a screw on cap at one end with a hole drilled for the fuse. He would shoot them over the salt marsh and could accurately hit this old building.

He was the coolest uncle!

I wonder if that Kid's Parent's pool leaks yet? The Spud gun is pretty funny too, to bad there not exactly legal either

It is not a chemical reaction rather a rapid production of gas CO2 from the solid. My experience is that this happens over 10's of seconds to minutes depending on the quantities used.
