As long as its within reason is my opinion. And that looks well within reason. I despise it when photographers edit things into a photo from another photo for example. I rented a book recently and 1/2 of the photos (it was a landscape book) had cloud formations edited into the sky because the original sky was boring :nonono2: Thats a pretty sweet picture anyways though.Quote:

15s, f22, ISO 100 at 40mm. I'll admit that I put my hand in front of the lens before 15s was up -- I found that the flames get too washed out if exposed for the full 15s.
I feel like an ass for entering this contest as my first post but anyway, here they are. All at 15 seconds exposure.

How long were you exposing the fire? It almost looks like too much. I was playing around with a campfire a couple weeks ago and it seemed to be too much after 3 seconds or so (not overexposed, just didn't like how it looked).
Can anyone make these out? They look fine on my computer at home but at work they're so dark to barely be visible, and I'm hearing the same thing from a couple friends.Quote:

You cannot force a 10 second exposure if there is a lot of light unless you can reduce the amount of light hitting the sensor/film by either choking down the aperture or basically putting "sunglasses" on your lens. Unless it's within a stop or so this is not something you can fix in post.
Either shoot when its darker, or get a ND filter to block out some of the light.Quote:
