Appreciate the kind words!
To the lad with the missing black plastic pieces, the only fix for that is a new baseplate. Look doesn't sell that specific piece, I've tried haha.
Hey, I'm looking for a pair of Rossignol Axial toes like those in the picture. Basically, the toes for the Pivots 12 from a few years ago. They were the same. I have a pair of 115mm brake assemblies, only used twice, if anyone is interested in a trade.

I'm looking for din 12
Am I correct in my understanding that there's no way to convert fks 14s ( ~2014) from 5355 to gripwalk?
There's no way I can afford to convert them all to 15s.

The 12 and 14-din toe was redesigned for the gripwalk afd. The older toes are stuck with whatever configuration they were sold with afaik.
Depending on how many you need this might be a more affordable option:
- Buy one set of 15 toes (might be tough to find, can just buy full 15s and sell the heels)
- Buy one set of cast toe pedestals ($100) and AFDs ($15)
- For however many skis you need - toe shims ($20) and screw hardware pack ($16)
I have this setup on a few pairs of skis - permanent heel + cast toe, and just move the toe from ski to ski. Takes like 5 seconds.
YES.
I actually have one cast setup already. Digging through the website for parts asap.
I'll have to look at each initial mount pretty carefully after pulling the toes off, but you've probably saved my bank and my skiing.
Thank you!

p14 is not cast compatible
No problem dude. Here’s what you need per additional ski you’re gonna cast, $36 / ski:
- 1 of these - https://casttouring.com/collections/...cts/screw-pack
- 1 of these - https://casttouring.com/collections/.../toe-shim-pair
If you want to tour on more than one castified setup then you have a couple options. You could just buy the second ski kit instead of the parts I listed above, which is $75. Or you could just throw inserts into the holes for the brake lock / riser thing. I did the inserts since I’ll rarely be touring on other skis I have castified, but it’s nice to have the option.
I know we've talked about the touch up paint for the Orange FKS but has anyone used the paint to do a custom job? Thinking of using it to paint a pair of raw P15s.

Ahh, he changed his mind on colors so hasn't actually proceeded with the plan. I'll let you know (phatty) when he gets it done in the next month or so, but I won't know how they hold up until next season, probably (EWG).
Red pivots. Mmmmmm.

I mean sure, it’s red. But orange is still the correct answer.
Obviously. I meant red red. The possibilities of powdercoating! Buuuut. The metal is aluminium, right? Would work to just anodize them. Probably less work overall.

WTB:
115mm Pivot heels with din 14 or higher
Ive gotta pair of white pivot 18 toe pieces, good condition, no screws, $100 shipped within US of A.
I have a 14 din WTR era set with a toe piece that is missing the part to actuate the alpine to WTR mode. Looking to sell or to buy a WTR toe to matchAttachment 416800

ISO: 15s or 18s with 115 brakes...lemme know what you've got
ISO: 15s or 18s in raw with 95 brakes.
PSA for the homies:
Finding the taller (20mm total length of screw) low head / pan head screws for the pivot heels is nigh impossible. If you are missing them and desperate, you can order the CAST screw hardware kit for $16--it includes 4 of those screws. The CAST kit uses those to secure the heel riser / brake retention piece, but they are identical to the longer pivot heel screws.
If someone has a better source, I'd love to hear about it.

You're totally right. I looked quickly on my phone when I would rather look on a computer and missed that detail. It does look like they have alpine panheads in 28mm though, so getting those and filing them down is a possibility? That one is also measured from the bottom of the head to the tip.

Yeah that would have been too easy I guess! The 28mm panhead is a little too long, and because it's only partially threaded there are only a few thread remaning when it's ground down.
Thanks, I will try that. I should probably call/email CAST and ask them where they get their screws. Funny that it's so hard to source a new, fully threaded pan head screw longer than 17mm.
