My wife is always leaving the closet doors open. ALWAYS. I don't gripe or complain, I just close them.
Apparently, I "always" leave the lights on. She never fails to tell me this before she shuts them off. Thanks, honey, but I was going back into that room in a couple minutes........whatever makes you happy :frown:
Yep, I "always" leave the lights on, the ones that draw like .000000001 Watts. However, she leaves the Christmas lights on from October to mid Feb and runs the irrigation for entire days.Quote:

I'll admit I am direct and prefer my husband to be also. But then again, I'm usually the logical one ;) (actually I am very left brained, he is very right brained.... go figure)
(ie, I would never leave the tools all over the place, that would drive me nuts. My husband is more likely to do that. ha)

My wife drops tools wherever she last used them, every time. It’s like once a screw has been turned, the screwdriver ceases to exist. It’s amazing. I refuse to pick up after her; I gave her an old gummi-stone from my ski kit so she can clean the inevitable rust off the tools she just drops in the garden. She lost the stone.
Those specific acts had nohting to do with the marriage failing other than the fact that over a very long period of time the millions of timed I'd be rejected or gaslighted for speaking my mind or expressing a concern add up. Not the acts themselves but the punishment for bringing them up and eventually giving up on saying anything bothered me or hurt. I tried bringing it up in various rounds of counseling over the years, but that, like everything else, never changed.
I probably would have and could have (however frustratedly) lived with that stuff if all the other craziness hadn't taken place.

Mrs. Plug was cleaning out some old jelly in the sink, and the jar slipped out of her hands right into the running garbage disposal. She doesn't scream, exactly, but makes an adult groan or something, and shuts it off. No 1/4" allen screw is going to fix this one, although I gave it a shot. I removed the disposal, put it over a bucket upside down and worked out all the small chunks of glass. Good as new. Shit happens. I guess the disposal thing really is gender specific.
