But as a paying customer, who is not an employee of Alpine, I am not happy about Alpine asking me to spend the morning at Alpine for two team meetings and not being able to ski between the meetings or in the afternoon. Schedule does not work for trying to go to Squaw. BTW: the team agreement calls for at least one parent remain at the resort (Alpine or Squaw).
After six years in the program, there is going to be need to be some significant changes to the justify a "kids only" day/weekend to learn the routine. If the teams are not competitive race teams, the teams should start when the whole family can ski. Reminder for Alpine, for those teams the "customer" is the parents. Soft opening where the parents can ski = nice, thanks. Soft opening with parents bored in lodge, checking their watches = "how much did I paid for this and why are we doing this"
I am sure the kids will have fun. But if we are not skiing, we have other things we need to be doing...
