Hah, I should get some of those feelers. Now they have sensors but my car doesn't have them. But the lips work great and they're dead easy to switch out.

That Maserati Gran Turismo above triggers my mind about a new concept Maserati had: bringing back the Bora after a many year hiatus.
Yay or meh??
I think it looks like a pretty sweet ride, myself, and you gotta know that whenever they put that puppy on the road for real, she'll do MORE than the song's 'one eighty five'....might be its MSRP if it does ever hit the road, though.

Jesus AK Rover, that's not a Gran Turismo.
Also, that concept will not be made. The only thing you will see from Maserati is the Ghibli coupe (Alfieri) and the Ghibli SUV (Levante).
Unfortunately, Fiat/Chrysler is in the process of ruining Maserati.
Odd.....Bushman's car up there (which he himself called a GT, BTW) sure looks a LOT like this 2003 Maserati Gran Turismo...hmmmm.

And Chrysler Corp ruined Maserati a longgg time ago with that ridiculous Lebaron/Maserati (that thing was a "Nauserati!!! ..hey!! I just made that word up...thats MY word know..i own it!! :) )You can chalk up any present and future ruinations to the Fiat headquarters. Chrysler I s basically a mere subsidiary anymore, as far as international operations decisions...an odd switcheroo that's been in the making for some time. Thankfully my dad passed away before THAT came to the fore.
As to that Bora concept....I would sure like to see that on the road...as some model or other.
Bushmaster has a Maserati Coupe. Some were called Gran Sports, but I don't know if his is one.
This is a Gran Turismo.

Production started in 2008. Great car.
Looking at that picture of the Bora concept car and contrasting it to the original Bora...the concept looks hell and gone better than the original!!
So I'm thinking in 1967 (or even '66, perhaps) when pix started getting leaked of the all-new 1968 Corvette, it must have looked totally unreal compared to what was on the road in the late sixties. I'm sure many hated it right away, and many loved it. I was barely in a sandbox that year, so I didn't really give a rip about anything but which Tonka carried the most sand. But anyway, I take it that it's design was quite ground-breaking ....like the Hanson ski boot of the auto industry? Anyway, that Bora concept platform above sort of harkens back to the '68 Sting Ray a little.
(That being said...my favorite Vette remains the 1963 split window...I don't really care for the post-1967 vettes.)

This particula r one is pretty sweet, actually!! A wheel/tire upgrade makes a BIG difference sometimes!!

EDIT: What's this??? I'm even starting to think a 1980 Sting Ray looks good now?? I USED to think they were hideous!!

I guess the inherent confusion lies in the fact that Gran Turismo = GT and the earlier coupes and spiders were usually called simply "4200 GT" to separate them from the earlier, smaller engined "3200 GT"..... so basically the coupes from whenever to 2007 were referred to as Coupe GT or sometimes just coupe. Anyway, that's why Bushman said GT.
I just checked the Maserati site...looks like they're spelling it as one word, GranTurismo, but still with the T capitalized. It would be REALLY confusing if it were GranTurismo GT, eh?? Heh hehh.
I call it a coupe' gt because that's what it is, even says so on the dash.

I had to switch back to my old wheel and tire setup. The cars computer sys. said my tire combo was outside operating parameters and then tried to kill me via auto acceleration. All part of the learning curve with one of these things.

I think I've watched this clip at least 50 times over the past two years. Turn the volume up to 11.
Want.

bmx biker in Portland bunny hops onto and rolls over a lamborghini while being filmed.
The owner was super cool about it.
Most Lambo owners,

would beat the shit out of him.
Looking forward to seeing bmx doosher get his ass beat someday. What a fucking tool
The seafood soup is killer at Jake's.
I know. Unfortunately he does too.
I've offered him a trade, trade + cash, and straight cash (homey! :D) and his laughter just gets bigger every time. It's probably my favorite model ever made in my favorite color combination. I'll wear him down one day but until then I'll be happily content.
This is genius. That's up there with my buddy who poured cups of gasoline on his neighbor's unkempt hedges along his property line when he'd walk the dog every night. The hedges eventually came out and my buddy finally got his way.
Actually, your idea is a lot better.
911's, 930's, 993's are nice but 914's are more fun to drive.... 425 hp in a 2,000 lb car with short gears and big brakes.....
^sweet
That thing is sick!
993 Turbos have gone full retard: http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/de...7656/overview/
Those things were 70-80k max 2 years ago.
Time to start buying awd 996 turbos. As much as people hate on the 996, that's where you should be buying if you don't have Iceman money
That truly makes me sad. I drove a few of them back when I worked at a Porsche dealer, and it was by far my favorite iteration. It wasn't quite as fast as the newer ones, but the WAY it put down the power felt entirely different. Was just a punch to the gut every time you put the pedal to the metal. A bit more challenging to drive too, since it didn't have near so many nanny devices as the new one. Like all the older Porsches, you had to know how to drive. Car kept you on your toes, that's for sure. LOVED IT.
What makes me sad is the fact I missed out on a beautiful, absolutely mint trade. White exterior, tan interior. As employees, we were allowed to purchase one vehicle a year at cost. I could've had that baby for next to nothing relatively speaking (mid 30s-40s), but nope. I was but a young, broke college student. FML. :( It was sad to see that car get sold, which happened in like a few days. Didn't last long. Freaking annoying how they've been shooting up in value. Each year I go without buying one because I can't afford it, is another year that puts them even farther out of reach.
Love the old motorweek car reviews, especially when the release the review on my car... "the best balanced performance car we have ever tested..."

3 of 4 new tires are here. Should have them mounted by next week. Vrooom vroom.

I love new sports car tires! I need to get my porsche some...
Ooh, a tire discussion. Are those pilot super sports? I've got extreme contact DW's on my street wheels. They are nice but I think the PSS's will be next.
My new race rubber and wheels came in for the FR-S a couple weeks ago. 17x7 Kosei K4R's and 225/45 BFG Rival S's. One event on them so far and they are killer!

I'm thinking Bridgestone re11 for the 944 turbo. Supposedly a great dual purpose tire. Good on the street, good on the track.
Bump for a little hand wash and wax.
Aww man you're making me jealous :o Those wheels look great on the white twin. I was wondering what to do if I could afford new wheels... I still think I would want something like the old mini lites that were popular on MGs and Z cars. I'm having way too much fun with this car, bound to get in trouble eventually
I'd love to throw Dunlop Direzza ZIIs or Bridgestone Potenza RE71Rs on my Miata (along with nicer wheels), but money. Doesn't help that the truck is gonna need tires too, and unfortunately, nice aggressive 33" AT tires are not cheap.
