Dude never don't include the Rustler lodge. Might be the best kept "secret" at Alta. Great sit down meal that costs only a couple bucks more than any of the main lodges on MTN. No fighting crowds.

Fellas - a quick thanks. Halfway through and dinners have been awesome. Jinya, Moki, Squatters all perfectly hit the spot each time. I owe you guys. Hope to pay you back sometime.
Looking forward to hitting Kobe or Makkan Makkan tomorrow.
No powder but beautiful warm bluebird days aren’t so bad either!!
Surprised to see Makkan Makkan mentioned, kind of thought that place was still unknown. The lunch special there has never let me down.
I only went a few pages back but didn't see a few of my favorite mexi places mentioned. Chungas, Marias and Mi Caramelito (be prepared to order in spanish)
Takashi for sushi. Can’t believe it’s not on the list.

Bring leftovers from any of the restaurants on your list or sandwiches. For the love of god DO NOT EAT AT ALFS! Been skiing at Alta for 17 years and you couldn’t pay me to eat there. Just going inside is enough to ruin your ski day. Stay away at all cost. Rustler and Alta lodge are good sit down lunches. Or grab a quick bite at Alta Java, great food highly recommended.
Lucky 13 for a good burger and beer selection but I think it’s 21 and over.

I'm thinking mokis for lunch tomorrow. Mmmm.
sent from some fucking device using some fucking program.
You can probably take Harbor Seafood and Steak off the list for a little while. Someone just crashed their van into the front entrance.
Nope not crazy been there for years as i recall, at least a few. Place is still relatively empty especially when alfs is a 15 min wait for a dry burger. Well worth it at the rustler.

My Alf’s rec was as a mid mountain place to meet and eat sack lunch. Their food isn’t great but I prefer their fries to any of the other places (at least six or seven years ago).
Never really loved GMD.
We went to Alf's for fries one day. Was fine and the fries were good and relatively fast (we went later in the day). People watching was pretty funny, but Sugarloaf lift was just pissing me off. High clown factor. There were fairly long lift lines and the 5 groups in front of our group of 4 were in pairs. And they didn't ever join up to make groups of 4.
I'm not sure why, but that really annoyed me.
But Alf's worked great and thanks for the recommendation.
I stand behind those folks and play passive aggressive. Talking loudly about how it's a 4 chair and how its common to pair up and make 4 to keep lines moving. Works most times.

When calling front row the liftie's put singles with the group of 2's and 3's. Unfortunately the "skill level" of the various lifties is unpredictable. Some do a good job, others are....lifites. When there are not lines and they are not calling front row then you will get plenty of two's and three's.
A side note, late last week when it was busy there was a guy who on two occasions skied up in the ski school lane and found a <4 group at the front and asked to join them. Called him out, real bad etiquette when there is a double singles line with 40 people in it he jumped ahead of.
Staying in Midvale next weekend and looking up spots not too far from the hotel for eats. Obvious couple choices are Bohemian, Hoppers, Red Rocks. Any thoughts on Prohibition as something different than typical beer and burger fare? I'm rolling solo so a burlesque show to entertain me doesn't seem terrible.
Divas Cabaret Gentleman's Club has decent burgers. Has a pool table which is pretty unique for a club like this, it's like a locals bar that randomly has a strippers pole in it. Girls are hit and miss but who cares. Haven't been there in a long time, I used to live near it when I was single. Used to be a decent street taco cart on the same block.
Don't order any beers from the keg, at any bar or any brewery BTW. It's all 3.2.
^ some of Bohemians low point stuff is pretty good, same with Red Rock, if you don’t mind slightly lower alcohol (Utah measures alcohol by weight, 3.2% ABW == 4.0% ABV the way much of the rest of the country measures)
I am personally not a fan of Hoppers whatsoever, but some people dig it.
Pho 33 for pho. Also Saigon Sandwich (technically outside of Midvale but close)
There's an absolutely kick ass taco cart behind the 3 Alarm saloon.
India House
Chabaar is good Thai. Unless you are into super hot food, get spice level 1. I got 2 once and couldn't finish my dish, and I generally like things pretty spicy. Their scale goes to 10 and above 3 they make you sign a waiver
I've gone 3.5. Not sure I have any more in me.
Pho 33 is bomb.

The Union?
The Point After?
