I happen to not agree with him, my brother is a preschool teacher, an exceptional one, and I could not imagine a teacher of small children not providing love and affection to the kids in their charge. Older ages it might be inappropriate, but the ages of kids going to "story time"? Those kids need love, and that includes physical touch. Appropriate touch, sure, but it's not all hands off. Drag story time is the same as clowns, and I don't have a problem with it and don't think it's pushing an agenda. I do think it's BS to discuss drag story time and in the same post discuss things like pedophilia/rape, and connect the two directly or indirectly. But thinking it's BS and saying that the person posting that must be "projecting" or must have been sexually abused or whatever are two entirely different things.

So, I completely forgot about this, but my first was 21 (I think) when I was 15. It was really no big deal, and she was hot as hell. She was a ski bum in Stowe when I went to school there. I can honestly say I never had any attraction whatsoever to a teacher when I was in middle school or high school, even young pretty ones. They weren't even on my radar. I was soley interested in girls my own age, and that took all my energy.
And years later, when I was a high school teacher, those girls (my students) may have been physically developed, but emotionally they just seemed so damn young it would have been absurd to me to think of them that way. Occasionally I would pat them on the shoulder or the back without really thinking about it, but that was the extent of any physical contact.

When my son was in Kindergarten he had a great teacher (female) and I’d have zero issues with a pat on the back or a high five or similar. I think social/age appropriate touch is fine. If I saw my son on the lap of a male kindergarten teacher, I don’t care what clown suit he was or wasn’t wearing,I’d be super suspicious and upset. Google school policies and read them. Most are obviously worded to protect teachers from accusations. It’s common sense these days. I’m not a teacher, so I’m open to someone telling me I’m wrong. But I’d wager sitting on the lap of a teacher is probably not advisable in most settings.

Yeah, whatever, totally supportive. My biggest thing is that no matter what, he is comfortable with who he is, has proper self esteem, and relates well and honestly with other people.
The rates of suicide, addiction, and other self-destructive behaviors around trans and trans curious people is astounding. He knows my history with self medication and addiction, and thus far has expressed no interest in drugs or alcohol.
But he had an amazing time at Dead and Company! He knew right away that he was with 50,000 of the least judgemental souls that he has ever been around. He lit up and grooved in a way I have never seen, he normally has really bad social anxiety, but it was gone. He was even dancing, and joking with all of the deadheads around him. It was revelatory.
(And yes, I am still not 100% in on the pronouns, we travel a lot in Spanish speaking countries, and he really doesn’t care how people address him).
He also still dresses like a sloppy ass dude.
So who knows. I am sure the first time he is actually attracted to someone will be very illuminating, whether gay, straight, or curly.

I spent some time in primary care covering another provider’s patients on maternity leave. Had maybe 6-8 trans men on testosterone. I read every chart from pediatric age to when we were seeing them. What’s the right answer?
I’ve seen this stuff first hand in the clinical world, I suck at it, but I have compassion.
