Smoked salmon already smells like death, so no way to really tell. Go for it. Maybe take some Ivermectin with it though.

Half used tin of anchovies open for a month?
How could you let that go uneaten for a month?

Freezer [burnt] chicken breasts with no date, probably post start of pandemic. I cut the worst spots off and threw them in a stew.

I'll not bat an eye to cook something that's been frozen 5 years. If it's frosty, just rinse it off first. It it's truly freezer burned, dried out.. then ya, probably not going to be tasty,,, but still 100% safe to eat.
Realized I wasn't that specific. I threw out the nasty dried out bits. The remainder went in a stew. It was pretty good.

Serve over potatoes. Or not. I skipped the taters. Other two people had them. 16yo skipped the potatoes when he ate some of the leftovers after basketball practice. He said it was tres Bien. Which from that kid is like getting all of the Michelin stars, ever.
Just went through a bit of an odyssey with a six month old LG fridge that stopped cooling. For ~4 days it was around 17'C (sorry, 63'F)
So obviously things like milk, mayo, sour cream are trash, but what about condiments, hot sauces, pickles, fruit juices, hoisin, cheese etc? Go by smell?
I think ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, etc should be fine - most are at room temp in diners and no one dies.
Instead of throwing it out I see people advertise freezer burnt meat for free dog food
After an FN gave me salmon frozen in ice I been freezing my fish in ice and it does not get freezer burnt
If it’s not refrigerated at the store, it does not need to be refrigerated at home. Including Mayo.

Yup, ask me how I know. ^^^^
Mayo is eggs. Best made fresh.
Mustard and hot sauce and shit. First ingredient is vinegar. Fucking vinegar.
Stop freaking out.
Stop refrigerating it.
