The end cost will be staggering. There have been multiple studies showing that large infrastructure projects in the US cost much more than in any other country with the same technical know-how. Counter-intuitive given the labor laws yet well established. If the gondola is built for the Olympics it will be accounting for a non-insignificant percentage of the final tally. Most of our venues already exist and are in good shape. The 2002 games cost $2.5 billion. Hosting another games was estimated at $1.35 billion two years ago (no gondola in that figure), and inflation alone will add $400 million by 2030. Might as well add on another billion and change just to be conservative and call it $3 billion total for the 2030 games. Conservatively estimating the gondola at $1 billion it's a +33% increase over the base cost of the games, and it could easily end up being half the cost of the entire games. No reason we can't add parking garages to multiply capacity.
At this point, many people don't consider the bus because there's no where to park on powder days-all the spots are gone by 8am,usually much earlier. On non powder days its not a huge issue. Weekends could use the option either way, weekends are getting super crowded.
We may need incentives to get more people on busses...like some shopping centers do with their parking pass discounts. 15-20% discounts seem reasonable...even include lift tickets to that.
Add the ski racks to the busses too-people stuck standing; holding a pair of skis and poles while standing on a moving bus is not cool.

Bus idea helps both canyons ,and the Gondola idea is a big F U to BCC.
