The temperature was supposed to fall. When we got there it was 32 when we left 4 hours later 36. So, the snow actually got worse as the day went on.
wherever the wind had hit the snow, it was fast and buttery. In the trees it was brutal.
I think, if the snow level falls to 6,500 feet, and we get 10+ inches, it will be really good and the glass will then be half full. ;)
And if that happens, the next two days could be really really fun. All the small rocks are getting covered but the terrain is still gnarly, with plenty of big rocks and some cool lines forming. Maybe they will even open up the cornice ridge or the wall and that will be a blast.
