Raise hell, praise Dale!
I'm not going to lie, (a) I really want a 911 Safari; (b) if I got one it will have a roof rack.

All this GOTOS (and a shovel and traction boards you can’t see!) can be yours for the low low price of $21,000
What is in those boxes that mount on the rear side window on Land Rovers? My wife asked me the other day and I told her it was for bottles of champagne and some glassware.
^^^It’s actually for spare electrical parts and a portable battery pack.
A “sponsor” of my favorite radio station (jiveradio.org) has an “ad” for Bruce’s Morris Garage - “Want to experience the thrill of British motoring? Go for a drive on a rainy night. Then roll down your windows, shut of your lights and windshield wipers, stop at every intersection and throw out a $20 bill.”
Crystal champagne flutes, some grey poupon, maybe a charcuterie board and some sausages. Or just a big stack of cash to tip the valet? Those things seem to have gained mass popularity around here, signs of the further gentrification of our already rich AF county. Fucking despise them.

Gonna guess you already know this, riser4.. but the steering wheel is on the other side in the country these are made in... so that may be why the snorkel is on that side. I'm assuming they wouldn't build a whole new engine with an air intake on the other side and body shape just so other countries could see better..
Landy's definitely seem to be a sign of gentrification and wealth these days, and in North America. Local farmers all had Defenders where I grew up. They were definitely not vehicles for the wealthy.
That's a fair call. Spending that much money ( a quick look found a 2024 model for $112,000 CAD without the toys) I guess you'd expect as close to perfection as you could get.

The old ones got it right.... not sure how many points without condiments though.
Yep. That's actually a good price. I've seen them up to $150k+ There seems to be a market for pre 2005 Defenders. I believe they need to be 15yrs old to import. But they're pretty much rebuilt for those prices.
Been Looking for a Defender 130 for a while. Looks like it's a no go as prices just keep rising.
I picked up some sweet used Corbeau seats for my 80 for a steal from a shop that customizes Rovers.
They had wall to wall LS swaps going on for older Rovers that were imported with diesels and are smog exempt in CA.
Owner was super cool, drove a Toyota and kind of alluded to hating Rovers for being the POS they are.
Oh, and this thing was there, I guess CA has Shieks also....Attachment 480820
