It's a zero sum game pal. Somebody wins-somebody loses. Money isn't made or lost it's simply transferred from one perception to another.
In our current world the 30 year risk free rate is 3%.

I use Bittrex for the little bit of alt-coin dabbling I do, but you should know that Bitfinex won't allow US residents to register any more, and are requiring US residents to get off their platform entirely. I've got a problem, in that I've got about $150 over there (like I said - dabbling), which isn't enough to conduct any transactions, so it's stuck. I originally had more money there in BTC, but moved it over to Gemini, leaving only a little behind at Bitfinex in a few low-value alt-coins. Now, I can't get the money out, and don't want to just walk away from it.
kind of screams bubble doesn't it?
Still plenty of hooks to sink in the suckers.
DroBro, you're riding 5 million btc? Or is that m for metric shitton?
ok, WG has me convinced, I put $10 into ETC.
TO THE MOON BABY!
Think you could spot me a few mil next year?
\
I got mofos telling me their 13 btc will be $13mil in 2020.
As Venezuela’s national currency loses value at a catastrophic rate, thousands have begun turning to the world of cryptocurrency to salvage what little value remains from their increasingly worthless bolivars. “This is not a matter of politics,” said Venezuelan John Villar. “This is a matter of survival.”
Both poor Venezuelan retirees and wealthy business leaders are converting their bolivars into bitcoins online and then using the digital currency to pay for everything from doctor appointments and honeymoons to motorcycles and artisanal beer. The transactions are relatively swift for anyone with a smartphone: Websites like LocalBitcoin and Colibit function as exchanges where Venezuelans can buy and sell bitcoins using a local bank account.
Good buys on the way.
this is it! The big crash! OMG
16000 is daily support. Then 14000 to 8000. Big gap below 14000.
14k is near 33% retracement of the entire move.
sell me some bitcoin cash
or trade for my doge coins
If you're wondering what to hedge btc with, look no further than bitcoin cash. Up 28% today as money flows from btc to b cash.
yea and w/ bitcoin cash it's much less expensive to cash out /convert coins and much faster than bitcoin core(as I think some of you have mentioned it taking foreva to transact)
here's a couple good website to track https://bitinfocharts.com/

Btc is for poker kooks
CNBC wanted to get a quote from the CEO of $RIOT today, but no one could find him. This space is awesome.
Most, if not all, of these ancillary crypto trades are going to be exposed as frauds.
That all stabilized pretty quickly, not even a 20% drop. I wonder how many coinbase employees/family/friends made out like bandits today... I love that a small amount of BCH I got from leaving BTC on a phone wallet is now worth something.
Got a Nano S delivered today. Pretty cool little device! I'm still getting it set up and coins transferred, but I'm impressed so far. Really easy to use.
Wait until satoshi drops the fucking bomb on you money changers
That picture of a Japanese Jesus controlling bitcoin is so zen.
This will not end well for most people. If it doesn't happen before then, when the market corrects Bitcoin will come crashing down. If it doesn't drop more than 90% I will be pretty surprised. I think it could end up very close to zero (I just don't see why it wouldn't lose all value during a major correction). If we didn't already have tulips this would become the textbook example of that dynamic. Smart money is short.
^Lol
So how are BCH and BTC different?
It caused a hell of a dip. I was driving and couldn't take advantage.
Guess Ill buy some BCH.
I think a good amount of very untechnical people will be selling their BCH if they have been holding onto it since August and waiting strictly for Coinbase support. Actually would have been a good time to not know how to split your wallet 4 months ago and now end up with random free $3500 coins.
Either way, I'm still not impressed with BCH. As I have said before, the OGs will always be with BTC.
Hmmmm whats going to happen when BCH trading opens at 9pst? Will BTC sink again? I might sell a little, can't decide. TA on these charts is hard with all this going on.
Well maybe everyone will try and sell their bch and buy btc in which case HOLD...
my bad if this has already been posted, don't have time to sift through the threads
we'll see I guess but the people I have been hearing from are psyched to get out of BTC- with all the blocks full it makes it too challenging and takes too long to be used for transactions + much higher fees to cash out.
but yea then the people that dont know much but are hyped on BTC may just buy on any dip anyway
sounds like BCH et al will try to keep blocks not totally full which creates more liquidity and will be less volatile. which I think will then help more adoption by merchants and people
but I'm also just a ski bum
They (even you) can submit a improvement proposal. Its not like BTC can't be improved. I think the most recent proposal was Segwit2x. What BTC does not have is a CEO like bcash so no one to "sell it" or talk down the competition (BTC). I not even 100% sure bcash is a decentralized cryptocurrency....

ha- that’s who I had a call with about it yesterday. he got me psyched on BCH.
i’m more interested in understanding it all for the plays vs owning directly at this point tho.

For what it's worth, I swapped all of my BCH for ADA last night. I figured it was free money anyway, so why not? But it'll be really interesting to see how the BTC/BCH/BTG thing plays out over the next couple of months.
