How are things holding up in the central Sierra?
Bit of a lull right now but the forecast looks good.
Dodge Ridge is closed this week - open Fri-Sun, but that should change if these storms deliver. Pretty damn good opening weekend, but it's still low coverage so things got ugly quick. Hoping to open the back side maybe this weekend if we get enough snow. Everything else is open.
Bear Valley is open weekends too. They actually have way less terrain open than we do. Only Moke West and the Cub learning area so far.
China Peak open top to bottom with limited terrain.
Badger Pass is scheduled to open this weekend.
12-14" at Dodge last night. Chair 8 should be open this weekend.
Bear had 12" at Griz top, so they will likely have more terrain opening Saturday.
Similar story at China Peak.
Yes. Hit me up if you need a ticket.
GiBo?
Welp, down by Fresno for Christmas. Missing out on the storms in Utah, but at least there's some snow down here. Planning to ride either China Peak or tour Christmas eve day if anyone else is in this area.
Red Mtn?
Yeah, maybe. Haven't been to China peak in four years, so probly just tear around inbounds
Give us a report
Dodge Ridge got this much snow since Monday.

Santa delivered a white christmas to CP .... after 3 shitty years in Tahoe it's good to be home. CP is pretty much all open and coverage is good, got a solid foot and half of light snow (for the southern sierras) last night and was only hitting the bullet ice on the steeper stuff and as usual, no one was skiing anything but the groomed. Here are the two pictures I got before my camera died.

Aaannd I'll be at BV 8th 9th for a race. Maybe I'll see you Sunday 10th.
I didn't make it to Dodge last season, but guess I can make it during the year ... not that anybody cares.
Are you going to be around Wednesday Mike?
The 10th may end up being the day...
Unfortunately, not many made it to Dodge last year, SailCat. I'm going to try and give them some love this year. My retirement plan is to move up somewhere along the 108 corridor, so I need Dodge to stay alive!
Great, I'll bring a bag of grapefruit to throw at ya if I see you.
Sounds good
Get there early. It's been a zoo.
SailCat, we need to ski together again. But I need a little more recovery time first, per my doctor.
More people than I expected today, but the backside lifts weren't running full.
Get healthy Hound. I'll be around.
Patrol monkeys loved the grapefruit. I was lucky to bring home two. Thanks a lot.
Holy crap.
Will be at BV solo Friday and attending kid ski race Saturday.
Is that the home run zone at BV?
Yeah sorta
Bear was awesome yesterday. Tracked out, but the usual stashes were good. Busier than I thought it would be.
They've gone full retard on the parking though. $25 bucks now for anything past the last turn? Fuck that.
People pay.
$25 lot was full on Saturday. And upper lot beyond Koala Corner almost up to the sand shed.
It was busy. People sitting on the cafeteria floor having lunch.
How long until it's going to just be $25 to park period? You know it's coming...
DR charges for up- front parking. I forget the daily and seasonal rates.
It's dumping at DR now...

Monday is not usually too bad. Saturday and Sunday will be busy.
Today was amazing. 16" up top. Took a few trips to Outer Mongolia. Epic
