I spent some time in P-town during the heyday. My poor little brain was permanently scarred.
Fortunately, I kept my pants on and belt tightly buckled.

When you're eight years old, there's nothing like encountering two six foot plus, tanned, muscle bound guys in fishnet tank tops and tin-foil miniskirts walking the strip hand in hand to introduce you to uhh, 'alternative lifestyles'.
"So that's how it is."
Heh, I never realized how true all the lore was about Ptown. I went there when I was younger (maybe in jr high?) and saw first hand. My defining moment was passing a store called "Spank the Monkey" with a large, very odd mural painted on the outside wall of the building.
Cool geology, though...

they don't show all the sex and drug paraphrenalia online but this place is a hoot.
I met John Waters on the street in P Town a few years back. He lives there, super, nice, friendly(kinda weird) guy. Took some pics with him and the wife(my wife, not his).

Uhh.... How can anyone not like the Northwest in the summer? About 80-85 in Portland or a little cooler in Seattle, with a fair amount of sun May-June and pretty much sunny the entire time from July through September. Everything stays green and the rivers keep flowing all year long.
Albuquerque!!!
Only city to not allow cops to film there anymore because they were able to make SO many episodes of SUCH bad shit.
What in hell is "P-town"?

Grenoble, France. Hop on a bus and you're at a dozen different ski resorts for a day trip, get on the train and you're anywhere in the Alps for the weekend. I spent a winter there in college and skied 26 days. The place is surrounded by mountains and it is totally normal to see people walking down the street with their skis over their shoulder and a briefcase in their hand. Mountain town feel in a bigger city. I can't stress accessibility enough either, even the crappy local resorts are epic and offer great BC.
If I had to live in a city it would be either Stockholm, Oslo, or Anchorage.
