Seems to be a strong inflow of CO peeps lately.
Guess I realized I never checked in.

Hi everybody! :D
Over from KZone. I'm merely here to antagonize Highway Star.
TMBs.
Guess I never checked in either... Truckee local with a passion for cat skiing. Did volunteer patrol work for 15 years but now just trying to squeeze in a few days ripping around Tahoe with the gang. Things sure changed after having three kids in the last six years!
Been lurking for a while, will probably keep lurking but I figured I'd get a quality first post under my belt!!
yes, im a long time lurker, first time JONGer. i joined this forum to get that warm and fuzzy feeling inside. and to say that i love scarey argentine clowns and ping-pong. can i get a hug?
Another long-time lurker. This forum helps me forget I'm locked in hell each day from 8-???.
I probably won't contribute much, but really just want to applaud what others contribute.
Says 501 here, but post 500 bitches!!
I so fucking roll with mad TGR cred!!! Wanna touch me??!:fm: :fm: :fm:
sorry, dude, just couldn't help it. ;)
Found this site during the great january powder drought of '07. lurkin pastime turned into a habit so I figured it was time to register. outstanding tech stuff bar none.
cant be a lurker forever
Finally getting on board to join this great community and forum as well. Been lurking occasionally and known about it for a while through my sis, the awesome Spark. Have also met LeeLau and GoNads, so perhaps those connections reduce my JONG status a little. Of course, I'll still keep a collection of naked pics close at hand just in case.
Grew up in Toronto, moved to SoCal for grad school, and then up north to Davis, CA, where I've been the past few years. On skiis since 3 or 4, but lacked chances to experience the lovely freshie gooodness until moving here, since skiing was mainly limited to the hills of Collingwood, and occasional trips to AB, BC, PQ, VT, and NY. Now I head up to Tahoe and mostly Bear Valley whenever I get the chance (but not nearly often enough). Bear Valley 'cause lodging is free at my friend's cabin, she knows where the goods are in and out of bounds, and I like the less crowded "old school" retro vibe of the mountain compared to the Tahoe gongshow, not to mention the cheaper cost.
Right now I'm totally psyched for our upcoming trip to Bariloche the 1st week of Sep, especially after the lousy season in the Sierra this year, and since it seems to be dumping there now.
Hey Loser....I'm not awesome and get out of my turf. Stop living vicariously through me.
Maybe we'll let you stay, but I'll always have MANY more pow / ski days then you and will call you to brag about it like a very good little sister. The competition is on....you had a crap year in Tahoe while WB was just epic. We'll see who lucks out next year punk.
Such a warm welcome! Definitely feeling the love. Just like old times back home. Yes, sweetie, you definitely smoked me this year, but Tahoe's past few seasons before this crappy one were pretty great. May I remind you that it was a big dump on a TAHOE weekend that was part of what "sparked" your passion for pow?Quote:

Just wait until I get a sabbatical though, then I may be able to leave you in the dust.
PS you are awesome, and last I checked anyone's free to join this forum!
Hi TGRers. I'm procrastinating at the lab, so I'm doing something unproductive: investigating the lurker/jong phenomenon, with pictures. :p
So TGR forums have 10,000 'members', how many of them actually post?
Not many. But it's hard to read on this graph because of those 3000+ post freaks ;). With the count on a log scale, it's a bit more legible:
So more than half of registered people haven't posted more than 5 times. About 10% haven't posted anything besides PMs.
This about sums it up. So, from the 57% majongrity, thank you for these great forums, and goodnight.

Dude, sledneckripper you just said the same shit that rideit said only you spelled it different, That is some weak ass shit. And you have the nerve to call me a jong, JONG .
What were you trying to find the weakest one one here to make yourself feel like a man? Yes I'm excited about skiing, yes I am still in HS, yes I live in florida. I cant help any of that. What is your excuse? Idiot.
No wonder everyone else here thinks your an asshole too.
Note: If you have to tell people you are not a jong, you are a jong.

Watch and learn
Gonna need some thick skin if you plan on sticking around here. Quit being a fag and stand up for yourself and don't whine. Nice to see you spelled everything correctly in your above post JONG.
Now post some stoke of your sister or mom and then we can move along with the process of making you a maggot.
I was on on the powder board until that a-hole killed it. Lurked a lot here but not much to say, can't fucking ski now with a fucked up back so I just get the stoke. Years of entertainment at work from the maggots so I can't wait to hit a mini at some point.

Ok, I guess I’ve lurked enough, so I might as well introduce myself.
I live on the ice coast, but thankfully have spent the majority of the past 10 years skiing UT, CO or BC as I get extremely bored in the east. No East coast crap anymore – life’s too short. I average in the high 30’s, low 40 days / year.
I work in downtown NYC, and my house is 60 miles north, which takes 2 hours via mass transit. I rarely go in, and travel a lot, and in the winter I arrange the trips to go via CO or UT, so it works for me.
My quiver is full of Dynastar’s, including 8000’s, 8800’s and XXL’s, with a pair of K2 Axispro’s thrown in for good measure. I have two boys, a 16 who shares the Dynastars with me, and a 14 who’s a blader. If they hadn’t grown up in the northeast, they’d be kickin ass on big hills now, but those are the breaks. I've taken them to UT and CO, which is a lot better deal than I got at their age. They are pretty freaking good considering.
Sarcasm is my specialty , however I hope to be able to provide at least as much useless / dubious information, poor grammar/spelling/syntax, marginal thought processes and profane contributions as I see among the veterans.
My sister qualified for AARP status :frown: 10 years ago - how many pictures would you like:frown: ? 8x10, glossy?
