Nice thread. I've never been to Neptune Mountaineering, but do plan on moving to the area end of 2008.... and I can say because of this thread I'll never step foot in that store.
You neptune employees can spam all you want, theres enough legit negative experiences within this thead to convince anyone there money is better spent elsewhere.

I could have very easily posted the names and pictures of Neptune employees involved in this incident. All the information was a 30 second Google search away. I could have also posted far more embarassing and personal information I received in PMs from multiple sources. Let's just say these messages did not paint a pretty picture of Neptune or its employees. Even after you have repeatedly attacked my friends, my family, and every aspect of my person, I held back this information and will continue to do so. That's the difference between you and me: I'm not a classless degenerate who has to attack others to prop himself up.
I was in Neptune's today. I asked about some bindings, got help, brought over the skis to have a look. Etc. Got my AT bindings mounted in a day a few weeks ago. There's a guy with glasses that I talk to from time to time. Nice guy, and knowledgeable. I've bought leather boots, guide books, dropped by just to browse. Never any attitude really. I've gotten some attitude at other stores, but still go there to shop and hang around as well. One time a guy was just pissed off at Bent Gate because the power breaker wouldn't reset and the lights were all off in the back. Bad day, so he was a little snippy. Big deal. Usually the employee I have an unpleasant time with is gone from any particular store in a year or so.
But dude, the ketchup idiot over at the Southern Sun tonight has to go. Ban his ass from that place. No shit, this old gray haired guy was squeezing the ketchup bottle to be funny and show off. He got it all over my friend's leather jacket at the bar. The hostess cut his party off from the beer and they left. Unfuckingbelievable.
I just emailed a link to this thread to both Neptune addresses listed on their site.
I don't really care whether they suck or not, I don't live there anymore and can shop a host of other places locally here in SLC, but if SL and jwolter don't work there are are making a bad situation worse for Neptune, I sure hope they defend themselves. I have been in there and have gotten attitude sometimes and other times have been fine.
I sure hope Neptune upper management chimes in on this. Whether SL and the others agree or not, this can't be good for business.
Now you can all get back to your pissing match. I'll keep checking back to see if Neptune offically responds.

There are two sides to stories, and most don't want to listen to the other side. When the shops get this I suppose they won't want listen to your side either. Having fun with your $800 boots from now on.
Look pal, I'm new to posting here on TGR, but long before I registered I lurked and have followed many of these "assholes" threads and posts and have been on teletips and splitboard.com for a while. We are all assholes at different times, and in my opinion you (SL) have been nothing but a dick around here at the very least. These ""assholes" you refer to often contribute some great TR's and being an asshole is more of a humor thing around here than an actual insult, and if you don't get that then I'm not sure you need to be here. And you briging Adimimmen's family into this is bush-league, period. Attack him if you want, but that is weaksauce doing what you did. With the way some of this is going down I don't think I need to be here. Not in this thread anyway.
Good luck all of you. If I were Gary Neptune and I saw this thread and my employees were egging this on, heads would roll, big time. And if people were pretending to be employees or leading people to believe they are employees for the sake of egging the argument along, you could bet your ass I'd track them down and take any action legally allowed on them as well. I am at a loss. I received a call and was directed to this site. I am appalled at the service you received. I have only read about half of the first page, and my rage did not allow me to continue without responding. I now see that there are 22 pages! 25 responses per page is about 500 responses! As I understand it there are responses from employees of my shop. Skimming I am unable to tell who is who since there are no names I would recognize.
I am at a loss. I would like to do whatever I can to make this right. Adimen I invite you to come in and see me personally. The service you received is UNACCEPTABLE. I would like to hear your story personally, and I would like to know who gave you this exchange as action most certainly will be taken.
I would like to offer you a discount on the purchases you made, and I hope this will make you feel better, and in some way right a wrong. Also, with every business there is an owner. If you are ever disappointed with service, and a manager is not helping you in a way you feel is acceptable, go over their head. If the very top link of the chain does not do anything to make your experience better then either you are out of line, or the business is doomed. Neptune Mountaineering, I thought has survived because the people performed a service. Insulting and banning customers was never one of the services I remember providing. I implore you to come back and allow me to make the situation right. This offer is extended to anyone else who feels they have been wronged, and if there are 500 of you please allow some time as I don't know how to correct all of the problems at once, but rest assured I WILL MAKE IT RIGHT!
With this said I am going to continue reading, and hopefully get an idea for the gravity of the situation.

1. I do not work for you, nor have I ever stated I did.
2. The maggots are arrogant assholes, they have a history of creating fictions and then trying to leverage shops, companies etc. Listen to the complainer, but take it with a large grain of salt.

When has this ever happened? Every regularly posting maggot I've ever met I would trust to stay at my house while I was gone if they needed a place to crash, lend them my car if they needed to get somewhere, whatever because almost everyone on here is a good person who just likes to ski and talk about skiing all day. The only real assholes here are the douche-nozzles like you who come in here and stir shit up to make us look bad. Go away, maggots are and will continue to be good people without you.

Good luck with figuring this out. Thats a lot of bad press but certainly not the end of the world. Some constructive criticism taken to heart and it could turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to your business. Just make sure you read through some of the bandwagon and get to the real issues. The guys who are claiming to be your employees, may or may not actually be, so rushing to judgement doesn't sound fair.
And to my fellow maggots, keep in mind that your actions and the things you say could have reallife unintended consequences. What would you think if someone undeserving looses their job? I've seen whole staffs fired on the spot for much less because a business owner couldn't tell who did what.

Funny you think of it as a battle, I hope you're joking unless you've never really been in a battle. This is tree fort level, and it won't be over when you say it is. Maybe when Adminim takes some responsibility for his actions it might be over.
Adimmen, why not call the shop and verify that the owner made this post. Talk to him in person and get it worked out. If this is really him I bet he lays down a lose the attitude policy with the hired help.
Sometimes a rude wakeup call is needed to turn things around.
And just a suggestion for anyone else that encounters a situation like adimmen, go straight to the business owner, 99.9% of the time they'll make it right for you.
