Another misrepresentation. presenting israel's earliest history as one of terrorism is hugely misleading, and in fact those who did advocate terrorism were quite controversial. irgun strikes against British targets in Palestine are hardly the equivalent of Arab suicide bombers.
At least you do admit to a dislike for Israel, though--but you may want to have a more even, honest background for that dislike before believing everything you've been told.

Nor did i say anything about it, but i was referring to the bias and selectivity of what you present--again, though, you have admitted to your bias, which is at least honest. Palestinian and Syrian history books are notoriously inaccurate regarding Israel, though.
As I've never supported Israel's past 'colonial' projects, I don't see myself as blindly pro-Israel--I've been called worse names by israeli rightists than anything I've been called here (so far), but I also believe in being fair and realistic.

I think he's talking about our minutemen. regardless, it's a ridiculous assertion.

The palestinians are getting exactly what they deserve. By electing Hamas it was a question of when, not if they would soon face the wrath of Israel.

Everyone knows how I feel about this issue and I have disagree that the Palestinians are getting what they deserve. They are and contnue to be the biggest losers in this. They for too long had to live under Arafat regime where nobody was looking out for their interests. The ineffectiveness of Fatah is what led to the election of hamas...

And when has any other Middle East nation cared about the Palestinian people except for a means of poster-childing them as sufferers of the Israeli regime? They are pariahs and have suffered through the entire history of this struggle.

What PWNBrit fails to realize is the asymmetry between what the Israelis do militarily and what Hamas, Hezbollah do in the name of terrorism. The Palestinian jihadist purposefully put their own people at risk to create collateral damage, while simultaneiously going after "soft" targets in Israel.

The fields were only bearing explosive belts and rockets already, so no salt required. The inculcation of the young with hatred of Israel is largely independent of anything Israel does or doesn't do, to pretend otherwise is fantasy.

The only difference in the killing that I see is that one side's state sponsored murderers wear IDF uniforms have far more effective weapons and powerful supporters egging them on.

If you check the numbers they're also substantially ahead in the numbers of killings and have hit the ball out of the park in terms of of detention without trial, displacement from lands, attacks across international borders, development of weapons of mass destruction, extra judicial killings, torture etc. etc.

Unfortunatly this is true. I think it's generally a bad idea to shelter people from the consequences of their actions when they have a pattern of making bad choices. Stopping Israel would be doing just that.

The Palestinian people have lived next to Israel for decades. They know what Israel's military is capable of doing. They know that they can't beat Israel in a military conflict, yet they still elected people who they knew would attack Israel.

I used to have a friend who got into a lot of fights, we were always having to jump in and help him. But then we started realizing that he was picking fights he knew he couldn't win, expecting us to help him. So we stopped helping him. He got his ass kicked several times then suddenly, inexplicably, he stopped getting into fights.

I see the Palestinian situation as very similar to the one my friend was in. It's very simple: if you don't want the get your ass kicked, don't pick fights with people bigger than you. There are better ways of getting what you want. Some people have to learn this lesson the hard way.

I'm not without compassion for the innocent people who are dieing. It is a tragedy, on both sides. But at this point, there is no way to seperate the terrorist's from the innocent people, mostly children. I heard someone say that the Palestinian/Israeli conflict will only end when the Palestinian people learn to love their children more than they hate Israel. As sad as it is, this seems to be true.

Well yes. Most people here know that I'll troll with remarks just to upset the tightwads here. The terrorists are a few douchebags from a huge religion, making it look bad as a whole. I don't judge on color, so I'm sorry if that remark offended you. Of course I don't hate all muslims or arabs, or any group of people for that matter. It is funny getting a rise out of people though, especially when they get more concerned with name calling than at people wanting to kill them. I find it funny.

I don't owe you any money was my point. You're argument is that I've inherited a better life directly from slavery. That is untrue, I have earned everything I have, and been given nothing. I've seen what handouts get a group of people. Watching the Native Americans where I grew up blow that money and help contribute to their unemployment did nothing to help them as a race. Capitalism works when you help yourself.
