Desert Canceled, The national guard thinks I need work on my people skills. Might want to head to Mill D. Don't know who all is showing up.

I was going to ride the crest, but CS called and said they couldn't so I re-arranged my schedule without seeing you dudes were going...lame! Maybe next week. Oh, and I'm riding the Crest with tradygirl on saturday morning around 7:30am if anyone wants to join.

Is that the women's nordic jumping event? I'll be up there for skeleton training (thus no Crest) until about 10, maybe see you. But ladies, I'm putting my XC bike back together today, and no DH races for two weeks, so I'm in for something!

IG - you could ride with us to Desolation Lake and then turn for Millcreek and ride home since you won't need a shuttle. I really want to do the whole Millcreek loop too, but I'm also a little tight for time. Anyone interested in busting the whole loop on Monday morning in celebration of Brother Young and his Posse? Me and the hubby are considering it.

Lynx - I would hope that most people on this board have butt cheeks that don't see the sun very often. Ugh.

Yeah Yentna, I'll be at the Backcountry booth at the ski jumping event tonight and tomorrow night....ya'll should come by for music, food, beer and ski jumping!

Just ran into Josh over at LDDs place actually, the two of them prepping for the E100 madness tomorrow. They pretty much convinced me to come monday for Crest, even though I was considering an easier ride in PC (due to no XC for well over a month! :eek: ). But it's time my Crest cherry was popped.... ;)

Got in a sweet ride in Round Valley tonight, felt good to be pedalling again. :biggrin:

I'm also up for riding crest on monday. Anytime works for me. Tonight was my first 2+ hour xc ride of the season and it felt good to get the cobwebs out.

I might be up for a crest - millcreek ride on Monday morning. Haven't ridden all the way into millcreek yet this year...it's about time. :)

Keep me posted on a meeting time....I'm not very good at early mornings, especially on my days off work, but might be up for this one.

Always watch where your rotor is when you've just finished using your disc brakes, down Mill D and your trying to take your front tire off to get it onto the car.

Holy crap this burn hurts.:eek:

Oh, and CS...this new back tire feels like I have an extra 10billion lbs on my bike, thanks a lot. NOT!

I had a lot of fun this morning riding with the Maggettes and Big Blue. Big Blue, by the way, is a strong rider.

One of the guys that I knew on the trail asked if tradygirl was my wife. He said "Damn, she's a strong rider." I said the only thing in common was their first name. Then he asked if she was available; to which, I said he should ask Josh.

I'm happy to say that I cleaned Puke Hill non-stop. :)
However, I less than pleased about the comprehensive cleaning I got on the spine. :eek:

OUCH!! That's far worse than my recent rotor burn on my back from an endo....still not sure how my rotor managed to end up on my back....It's been about 3 weeks now, and the skin finally grew back. blech. Hopefully, yours isn't as deep of a burn.

We should start a magette injury thread....since we've all had a few this summer.

Liz, I too must apologize for laughing out loud when I saw the picture. As IG said, it didn't look that bad in the car, but man it looks like it hurts now! :eek: Lots of ice. UtSG - how did you manage a rotor burn on your back? That's awesome!

Monday morning is on for the Millcreek loop! Considering how hot it was this morning by 10:00, I would vote for meeting at the bottom of Millcreek to shuttle cars by 9:00 at the latest. I could be persuaded for later, but that's just my $0.02.

Depending on the shuttle situation, you guys could probably meet at the crest trailhead on guardsman.

Not sure if James is riding too, I think he's supposed to work...I could trade him cars, and would have 4 racks.
