This has come up more than once here. But silly shit like “SMS based 2FA isn’t secure” annoys me. Sure. It’s not as secure as hardware tokens. But it’s more secure than not implementing it. By a fucking mile.
Anyways, bullshit about all that other stuff about them not paying for you to maintain what amounts to the company’s security infrastructure. As you were.
It's certainly better than nothing, and generally fine for most personal accounts if you're not famous and don't have tech savvy enemies, but it's easily circumvented by a directed attack (one where the hacker knows who you are), which is one of the more likely attacks against a company. And giving a $20 U2F token to every employee would be better security and wouldn't require them to link personal phones to the company security infrastructure.
Any advice for managing this as a <10 person business? Some configuration is ok but I'm not trying to do a ridiculous amount of hands on setup. We were working on this a while back but it's been pushed to the side. I know it's important though and I recently started looking into how to implement tokens for everything we need. I want to move away from sms 2fa
Wearing a mask at the office means I can’t walk around and casually sip on my coffee. Makes it a lot harder to Lumberg around and tell people they need to come in on Saturday.

Facebook. Enough said, but specifically I keep getting this message asking me if I want Facebook to remember my password with the options "yes" and "not now." "No" is not an option so I pretty much get this constantly. Resistance is futile.
A topical steriod on canker?
You apply it when you are starting to get one? Hmmm...
Some quick google searches seem to back this approach up.
I have really reactive skin, and I use a fluticasone solution to treat it. So, it should be easy to try the next time someone in the family gets canker.
I'm the only one who is willing to use silver nitrate, thanks for suggesting another option.
Fluticasone can be easily had, sans script - see aller-flo from Costco. Fluticasone is a less potent steroid than fluocinonide - so hard to know if will work well - though there are citations of using dexamethasone too, which is less potent than fluocinonide. Silver-nitrate is also easily obtained - Amazon has it.
Looks promising, at least with an antiviral.

The tube I got did clearly say for topical use only, but the dentist said it was ok to use for a canker sore (and wrote a script), so an off-label use. Apply when first getting one and it goes away before progressing. After trying lots of other things (had been getting them since a kid), this was the thing that finally worked.
Someone (who shall remain nameless) invites the 2yo niece over to "watch her" so nameless' sister can do shit like get her hair done. Then someone conveniently has "to take this 1hr call" which or has "a 2pm Zoom meeting" or has "a unit Zoom gathering."

shipping
two ski companies sent my orders FedEx after I’d specifically requested UPS because FedEx sucks up where I live
both of them sorta said “oops, sorry - let’s just wait and see what happens - if they actually deliver them”
fuck that - cancel those shipments and send them to me properly when they come back - or better yet, send out new skis now while these come back
it shouldn’t take two weeks and 25 phone calls to get a pair of skis, especially from smaller US ski makers
oh, and no matter what the FedEx guy tells you, they can’t deliver to a rural po box
What do you need new skis so quickly now for anyway? It's September.
I don’t. But I also don’t really want to deal with chasing packages around.
