Dumping snow and accumulating at lake level
Sweet. I've now applied for college in three consecutive decades. (ASI is my safety.)
I don't know what I don't know, so this will be a good start. It seems like it's nearly three full days of instruction for about $70 (if my CA high school degree gets me in-state tuition), which is a much better value than I've seen elsewhere.
been snowing since around noon at truckee.. barely sticking at first but now it's going good and accumulating. if you look at the radar there's a red band coming straight for north shore.
tomorrow should be good.. just in time for the weekend as usual this season.
anyone have a guess at crowds? pretty late in the season but it is snowing
Wonder if KW will enforce their no skinning policy tomorrow.
Snow is getting lighter every hour. Only Roundhouse at Alpine but it's pretty sweet and a complete ghost town.

Parked my car at Alpine Meadows around 12:30 and this was shortly after 4. Snowing pretty hard since then down past lake level. Tomorrow is going to be good.

Unreal day, biked in shorts in the am before the storm hit, Armstrong Connector and Corral in great conditions, then late afternoon cold pow turns, winning

One more lift pow day on tap.
Many of the prized tahoe couloirs are still filled in and have been in choice shape this last week
Access to tallac is still good with a 20 min walk on a use trail between sweat hill and corkscrew till u hit continuous snow up screw fold. Exit is more effort unless u get back to up route. Spring creek still gated but easy bike assist
Fallen leaf gate is open and road mostly clear to Lilly lake
Summit city still cooking up the kind and the whole south side of cp will be in play for some time. On the north side of the pass access is dwindling daily but still good

Got to love the extra credit pow day. Hit castle late, but found n faces holding. Up to two feet in some places! May hold until next round comes in tomorrow. Some slab activity during storm, probably triggered by cornice fall

Thought there'd be more talk of yesterday around here. Caught third chair on summit at Alpine and the first couple of laps were awesome. But I've never seen that much snow turn to mank so quickly before. In hindsight I wish I'd have gone out on a quick tour at sunrise before heading to the resort.

For sure. I got talked into squaw by a buddy but I think alpine was the better call. The minute I started walking over to KT I knew the heat was gonna be a problem fast. Just not that fast. I was 10th chair and even my first run kicked off a few roller balls. It was fun will it lasted just not long enough.
Lots of pass scrutinizing this weekend. at both squaw and am. This guy said enuf already and that he was bailing :

Did anyone try to skin Kirkwood yesterday?
