My whole body is screaming for a break. My boss hates me, partner mad af, but that was one hell of a storm cycle. Got plenty of time now by the looks of it to get back in the good books.
@RidgeSkier the one issue you might find with the warm up is the alpine might shut due to avalanche hazard. Patrol are already pretty spooked by all accounts, so +10 in the alpine might not work out so well. Bring the sunglasses and rock the hair toque if you can!

Question to the knowledge base here...
Divegirl is taking a friends weekend up there starting tomorrow evening. The condo only has one space so she needs an additional overnight space. In the past we've utilized the conference center (or it's been in April so we used the daylots) with no problem but that was before the pandemic. It is always showing full now on the site even mid-week. Is that accurate? And I read somewhere that you have to buy a ticket every day now?
Any other way to park overnight for 4 nights just leaving a car in it's place?
Very good day yesterday. Some stoke from the 1st lap down the bite with the buddy in black that i kept running into getting lost in the white room!

Can't confirm, but it always seems pretty full. My understanding is you can only park there 24 hours max, but could be wrong about that. Also not sure if that means you'd need to physically move the car or just go and repay at the machine.Quote:

True. Realistically this is a good year to close early. There won't be much late spring skiing.

This was from Sunday. Best way was doing a few more side steps and doing the high traverse, not lower down. It was a gong show of people taking their skis off and struggling with the lower travers. Go high and across.Quote:

How are conditions looking inbounds these days? I'm assuming pretty spring-like with freeze-thaw cycles. Planning to come up the weekend of the 13th to get in the final dual mountain days this season. I've heard things are getting pretty quiet.
Here's a PSA for anyone who has both an Edge card and an Epic day pass: be careful not to have them both on your person at the same time. I was skiing in Colorado last week. I brought my Edge card because I would have needed it if we'd skied an extra day (the plan was to ski four days and I had a four day Epic day pass). You can use up to two days of a five day Edge card at other Epic resorts. Anyway, two of my Edge card days ended up being scanned rather than my Epic days, so I now have both Edge card and Epic days remaining. I just called Whistler customer service and the lady told me to be careful about this because having two passes on your person is a good way to be flagged for fraud. I meant to take the other card out of my wallet, but I assumed the pass that was alone in my jacket pocket would have scanned rather than the pass that was in a metal wallet. Nope!
Okay who had the balls to lay tracks down Blackcomb main face yesterday mid day? A set of two tracks down the main gut then cutting back lookers right and into a close out chute back into Lake Side. Another pair of tracks in the line next to DOA, forgetting the name of this line. From top of DOA climb up over the first ridge skiers right and down the flank. After snagging kids from Base II ski school we hustled up to catch 7th before closing for them to ski Pakalolo and say the BComb peak tracks at just after 3pm.
Inbounds on Blackcomb is still skiing really good. Still mostly cold chalky snow on north aspects and feeling wintery under foot. But 13 days from now anything could change.
Yeah, I don't see much super warm weather coming, but also not a ton of snow.

Yeah hard to spot them in the am for sure.
AD forecast is looking good for the next two weeks I think. Not huge amounts of snow so might not cover up the big moguls but little top up’s and light crowds should keep it good skiing thru out the alpine and backcountry.
