^We have those too. In the middle of the two highways they put Verizon stores and the occasional Long John Silvers. If you don't want to wait for the actual turnaround you just bust a move thru the Long John Silvers lot. Lots of different options available to make a left in NJ.
Yeah Bmills except the ones I've seen in Jersey you have to exit to the right, then it loops back. They go all the way around so you enter the other side from the right. Uses a lot of space and asphalt for sure.

yep, there's one in Superior just south of here. Works well. Doesn't even take that much getting used to (other than having to remember that your exit may be on the opposite side of the road). But it's not a confusing interchange, it's pretty straightforward.Quote:

And I got away with a warning.
In Truckee the way you make a left from a side street onto Donner Pass Rd is to wait for a car coming from the right with no one behind them and then pull out in front of them with just enough time for the other car to slam on the brakes, then you drive as slow as possible while you finish your conversation.

That Washington law is what I thought was correct usage in New England, as well. I'm too lazy to Google it right now, but I was under the impression that it was reasonable to travel in it before or after your left turn so you could then get back into the travel lane.
