I like the lines on the Z3 M convertible a little better, but I gotta respect the "clownshoe", definitely one of the most unique sportscars of the era.

Weren't you talking about selling the GXP? What's next?
Lol.. thanks guys. Just back in GCCO. The first 650 miles were good. No interior pics yet.. Soon. If I didn't have the awd requiremrnt, I'd own a couple of 3.2s already. They're fun. Driving season for those up here is about 4 months/year though. Just not worth it. More pics to come.
I have to apologize for every time I attributed CO traffic to "midwesterners". Apparently, the midwesterners in KS know how to drive just fine. Get back to CO and it's pricks and morons everywhere. Drove up the canyon behind a dude doing 37 up to the passing lane, and then accelerating to 60 to keep people from passing him. No match for the R though, much to his chagrin.
Looking forward to the next time a Native conflates liking CO with liking Coloradans.
Sweet indeed!
That's a fantastic looking Boxster. Congrats!
Revel in the noise you get with the blip...downshift every chance you get.
Hair plugs? :fm: Looks good.
That's one of the most frustrating things. Makes me crazy when people do that. Pickup pulling a horse trailer did that to me (and drifted just over the line each time) for almost 20 miles the other day when he forgot about a short zone and I nailed it. Felt good bouncing it off the limiter :)
What goes through people's minds when they do that? Seriously. You're driving slow as fuck in the passing lane but then all of a sudden you find the skinny pedal when you force someone to make the unsafe pass on the right? (I actually know assholes like this and ridicule them mercilessly every chance I get)
Go fuck yourself.
remember, blip = pump.

Fucking love this car! So I live in central Maine where most are poor and have pick up trucks. I got a few "nice car"s, a few trucks trying to race, and equally some drunk frat boys trying to rustle feathers.. Sticks out like a sore thumb. I fucking love this car

Just got back from driving an Audi S5, and the R over Squaw Pass... There's no way I'm selling the R. I hadn't realized what a rocket the R is from 40-100. Blew the doors off an STi on 58. I was in the wrong gear when he started beeping, and he pulled out to a car length lead. But when the turbo spooled up, the STi fucking disappeared. I honestly couldn't believe it, but then it did it again to another one on 40 by Heritage Square. Found another guy in a tricked out 370z on Lookout and he tried as hard as he could to shake me, but couldn't.
It's so much more nimble than the S5, and the Audi trim from 2012 is now the VW trim in 2016. The R stays. That's before we even get to how functional and usable it is compared to the S5... Getting into the backseat of the Audi proved to be a fool's errand. I liked the R already, and was still surprised today by what a good car it is. I'll still go look at the S5 that's coming from TX, mostly to be polite, but I'd be pretty surprised if I changed my mind.
A few more...

Sweet... Hope you have a great trip.
What year is that?
Are those the 20" wheels?
As a german-American, always liked the GTI.
If I were living in the city doing the daily city commute, a golf R would be a lot of fun trying to lay down rubber during the workday and having pedesterians thinking a Porsche is coming around the corner and seeing a the golf and being confused.
It's impressive how efficient the more recent cayman/boxster line is. low 4 second 0-60 with 3000lbs and close to 300hp requires phenomenal engineering. They look great too, one of the better looking cars I've seen.
315 in the S and 330 in the GTS. Spyder at 375.
I'd have a Boxster every time over a Cayman. Great car.
Cool R.
I was pretty close to buying my cousin's R32, for something around $14k, but ended up with a '99 E320 for $7k. Couldn't deal with just having the 2-doors on the R32. Your new R looks prety fkn sweet-
99 is back when Benz made a quality product.
Thanks... Still digging it. One of the things that's gradually setting in is that there are S5s everywhere out here, and no Rs. I've seen at least six, just this weekend. It also occurred to me, looking inside a pretty new S5 convertible, the new R interior isn't similar to the S5 interior... It IS the S5 interior. Same vents, same start button, same other buttons, better head unit... Obviously, the S5 seats are pretty rad, but I don't just need a chair - I'm looking for a whole car to go with it. Still good with the VW. More pics to come next weekend. The wife and kid still want the Audi, but I bet that lasts until either tries to climb in the back seat.
Could you find a better way to spend $900?

Probably happens when I turned traction control off and drifted this bitch down a back road
