The majority of gun deaths are fueled by drug and gang activity. Probably 80%.

Yeah, those gangs shooting up schools is serious issue.
Some people just luv their gunz more than innocent school children. That's the bottom line. Just look at this thread. Clear as day who the few are in here and they might be the more reasonable gun owners out there.
A lot of smoking deaths are sort of baked in because cancer and other health problems take a long time to develop. Cigarette smoking on the other hand among U.S. adults is around all-time lows.
A lot of that comes down to higher taxes on cigarettes and public health messaging. There's a younger generation of Americans who grew up fully aware of the hazards associated with smoking.
Maybe we should raise taxes on guns and use the revenues to fund public health campaigns exposing the dangers of unsecured guns in America?
