Electric snowmobiles would be a welcome addition to the Yellowstone winter experience...
Oh, yeah, they did that a while ago. I did the snowmobile excursion into the south entrance to Old Faithful in 1990 or so, and, yeah, all two cycle. I felt embarrassed when we came back to the parking area after watching that damn thing blow with about 150 sleds idling. Enough to make Bambi cry and cough a little.
Don't animals have a preternatural instinct to get the fuck out when a natural disaster is coming? My guess is all the wolves and coyotes will have overrun the main office in Wilson searching for sandwiches on their way north to Canada long before the supervolcano blows.
The only ones left in the park will be shitbirds with asthma.
Asthmatic Shitbirds would be a terrific band name.

In my experience of driving across this great country many times is that the Flying J, despite all instinct to the contrary, especially in these Covid-y times, are the most spotless restrooms on the road.
Chick fil a is the only ones that are better but not as substantial, and most of em in the Northern states are closed on the insides anyway.

Let’s be clear: NY Thruway rest stops are the gold standard of rest stops. Not kidding.

Ha! When a client would apologize for the stale the coffee from the breakroom I'd laugh and say "Tastes great! I'm used to coffee from the Thruway" and they knew what I meant.
edit: I think I saw me at Frontier Town in the vid.
When I saw the caller id come up with 315 on the shop phone I was strangely interested to answer the call. I made an appointment for rich a new customer to come in for some issue with his car - he drops off this am and of course after polite introductions and agreeing on game plan for car , as he’s walking away ; “ hey where are you from ?”
