Too funny...I just had my electrician replace all my smokes and heat detectors. They'd go off randomly and whenever I turned on the garage lights. Turns out the photo sensor was being tripped, but I had a mix of vintages (same brand), but that was causing trouble. Put up with this crap for over a year.
Now they are all same brand, same vintage and speak English...working great, but still waiting for the bill, tho.
