That's far higher risk than I could ever justify, but it's damn impressive.

Note the boarder has an ice axe in each hand and the skier has one under his shoulder strap (yep, just whip it out and self-arrest in case of f*ck up!).
The Jager Couloir is rated TD+ overall, 5.4 technical difficulty, 3 danger, 45-55º/700m.
The Gervasutti Couloir is rated TD overall, 5.3 technical difficulty, 3 danger, 45-55º/700m. You can crank this up to ED with the direct from the summit 55º/100m.
I note that people bite it on both of these when something goes wrong (eg, serac busts loose, couldn't get the ice axe out in time).
What kind of snow conditions are required to ski these "safely?"
Oh yea, I hear people catch big air jumping the bergshrunds at the bottoms of these. Photos?
Since these are not even the most radical lines, what do the ED and ED+ descents off the Italian side of Mont Blanc look like? For example, the direct du couloir nord-est.
I'm guessing that the overall grades follow the danger factor, because you can get 5s that are D (intermediate skiing (!)).

A friend of mine died in the Gervasutti a while back. Didn't climb it before he skied it, uncovered ice, and slid to his death.
