I have a used Pieps 457 Opti-Finder Avalanche Beacon. This beacon is in great shape and works perfectly. It also comes with a neoprene life-link chest holder. I have tested it many times in the field this season with no problems. I now have two beacons and only need one! It also has brand new batteries.

I've been thinking about buying an avy beacon, but will someone enlighten me to why I would buy a used unit for 150+shipping when new 457's sell for $190 new?
It just doesn't sound like a maggot price point. Maybe it's jong bait, but I'm not biting.
