Picture Report: 12.21.06 Inbounds Faceshoty Deepness
12.21.06 - DEEP AT THE STONE
SPThomson, Summit
The big storm puked several feet of snow all over the front range. The snow totals for that day:
Sol Vista 25"
Eldora 24"
Echo Mountain Park 23"
Winter Park 22"
Berthoud Pass was closed and I didn't wake up early enough to drive the long way. We certainly didn't get the most snow but luckily enough of the storm spilled over the divide to make the conditions still quite good.

The Stone *reported* 12" fresh in 24, 18" in the last 48. That alone won it the snow totals for anywhere within an hour's drive (a rarity). There was much more than this on the right aspects.

We never went to stashes. We just hit runs and some glades. It was knee deep most of the time and occaisonally up to the waist with tons of face shots up until the end of the day. The county showed up and there were a lot of people ripping harder than that mountain usually sees. I actually wasn't the only pair of Spats out that day.
We only slowed down to take pictures at about 2PM and then we didn't really want to waste much time so here are the few.

It just stayed good and kept on snowing... can't compete with WP but the grin on everyone's faces said that nobody was about to complain!
