pizza slice
I'm usually up pretty early in the morning but I've got the technique down. You want the blade angled at about 35deg in light snow, 45-50deg in heavier stuff. Kick it back closer to straight when you get to your friend's driveways.......they'll appreciate the lack of a berm. Make sure you've got it tilted foreward enough to not dig into the asphalt because it will skip and make your truck handle poorly as you make your sweeps through the neighborhood. And as always.......aim for jibber kids in baggy clothes waiting on the bus to northstar.
Above all else, remember that leaning back on the tails is the best way to control speed in a proper snowplow.
1. angle skis in a triangle
2. lower goggles so forehead is exposed
3. double pole plant to start, repeat until desired speed is acheived
4. weight on inside edges
5. put one pole next to your side, racer-tuck style. other pole should be considered "freestyle" and can be held any way but racer-tuck style. if necessary twist one shoulder around so it drags.
6. scream wildly, either in fear or joy, depending on experience and difficulty of run.
Yelling snowplow is a definite necessity.
just wear a starter jacket (of your favorite football team) and the rest will come naturally
I use a skid steer to plow snow. Works great.
Oh, this is about skiing. Snow plowing causes knee pain and burning thighs when done properly.
The bindings din must also be set no higher than your weight/100. This will ensure proper release before injury can occur.
