I've got a pair of powder rides in my garage that I'm thinking about making into swallowtail's.
Is there anything in the construction of these that makes this a bad idea?

That's what I was going for , at 180 they're reasonably short anyway and with the 105 waist, my thought was that the swallow might make them into an interesting tree ski.
At 180 isnt it already a tree ski?

but wouldnt the tail cutouts moreso lock the ski into a turn and make it harder to disengage from a turn and butter them?
Thats pretty much how i ski through the tress, so it sounds like it would make a pretty crappy tree ski.

I say go for it......even with screwed up tails, they should last as long as the sidewalls on those things. :fm:
I actually love skiing those.....but they are the least durable ski I have had the pleasure of destroying.
No wheel barrowing , use the skid steer to move gravel 1/2 yard at a time . Digging is working out pretty well , can get down 5 feet with the hoe on the skid steer the next foot isn't too bad as is gravel with very few large rocks. 99% would be pit run <3".Quote:
