Maybe....what is the forecast?

Wouldn't the colder temps inhibit convective showers?Quote:

i love super early....
was up this morning... what a ridiculous way to start the day.
at least a foot in most places. light snow, not wind blown yet... fresh tracks from top to bottom 5 times.
The Berthoud Summit snotel site shows about 2 inches of settlement for the last 24 hours. WTF?
Good news. Thanks.Quote:

I saw that too and wasn't expecting much. Then I get up there and I'm not seeing my skis as I'm skinning up (off the normal skin tracks). Not sure of the name of the bowl that the snowboarders build their big kickers in, but that sucker was fluff and no tracks.
I think part of it is that it's been accumulating and staying cold over the last week.
I might be. Will see how much new comes down tonight before I decide for sure. Started out the day in SuCo, and finished out with 3 quick skins at Berthoud. It was snowing pretty hard when I finished up at about 5:30. I didn't venture far out, so probably still plenty of goods even if it doesn't snow much tonight, if you do more of a tour, but close-in stuff was starting to get beat (but still shots if you looked for 'em).Quote:

Hmm...am planning Monarch Pass Thursday, but if Berthoud keeps skiing well, I'd be ok not doing the 2.5+ hr drive.Quote:
