There's a possiblity I could be sucked back into the Crystal vortex on Sunday if the freezing levels don't play nicely this weekend. All depends on the 5am snow reports on Sunday. I'm keeping options open from Baker to Xtal (though preferably alpy to use my pass!). jonesing for some of that white stuff!Quote:

Crystal was pretty fun Friday. After getting drenched by rain in the base area, things were much better up top! Yeah, it was wet, but some surprisingly good snow in Snorting Elk Bowl. Southback and Northback were both closed, but chair six was running. It was entertaining watching your sluff turn into giant snow boulders as it made its way downhill! Anything lower than just above of the base of Rex was more or less unskiable it was so sticky. It was pretty much deserted, too. I did see crstlextrm working the Green Valley chair and was able to utilize the "change for a nickel?" line :)

Alpental was good today. Actually, really good. Snowed close to 10" up on Chair 2 - so wet powder was a pleasant surprise that they didn't really report. Bomb debris everywhere. Looks like Patrol had target practice!
Anyways- 6"-10" forecast tonight. Greydon & I are going to check on the reports early tomorrow morning and make a decision from there. If we're up at Xtal- we'll be in the Chinook lineup by 8am.
Girlski & Bomber are definites. Not sure if I'll be at Xtal- we'll see what the morning brings. Either way- should be a fantastic day!
Jumper... you bastard!;) I tried your new cell#, it no workie!
Anyone going to be wearing a radio? I will have mine tuned in to 11.27, if anyone cares to hale me to make some turns.
My guess is I wont see anyone tomorrow... once the rope drops everyone, including myself, is looooooooong gone!
yeah, that's because I've been in Germany and Portugal and Iraq and Greece and Afghanistan and Turkmenistan and Kuwait and...yeah.Quote:
